Marco Abbruzzese has been named senior regional manager for Wells Fargo Washington's Wealth Management Group. Abbruzzese has 20 years of experience and will be responsible for Wells Fargo's WMG operations in Washington, leading 218 team members.
The University Research Office at the University of Idaho recently signed a memorandum of understanding with a new business venture firm located in Bellevue called The University Funds. The company will help move inventions and innovations into the marketplace by creating start-up companies with University of Idaho patents.
SMG hired Will Christison as director of operations and event services of the Lynnwood Convention Center. Christison has seven years of experience and has worked with the Seattle Mariners, Microsoft and Pearl Jam.

The Bellevue Arts Museum hired Mark Crawford as executive director/chief executive officer. Crawford has been interim executive director since October of 2008. He was previously managing director at Portland Center Stage and executive director at the Committee for Children.
Attorney General Rob McKenna hired Randy Pepple as his chief of staff. Pepple is a former congressional chief of staff, has led the Northwest offices of Hill & Knowlton and has managed his own strategic communications consulting firm. Pepple succeeds Mike Bigelow, who will retire at the end of June after 30 years of government administration and policy work.
Daryl Grigsby, public works director for the city of Kirkland, was named a 2009 public works leader of the year by the American Public Works Association. APWA annually recognizes 10 of the most outstanding public works professionals from across the U.S. and Canada for their professionalism, expertise and career-long dedication and service.
Lawrence Pintak, an internationally recognized journalist and educator, has been named founding dean of the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University. Pintak was director of the Kamal Adham Center for Journalism Training and Research at The American University in Cairo, where he ran the only graduate degree program in journalism in the Arab world. He has more than 30 years experience.

The Pro Shop at Pacific Place will open on June 12 on the third level of the shopping center. The shop sells licensed apparel and souvenirs for the Seahawks and Sounders FC.
Bellevue-based GoAhead Software hired John Hansen as CEO. Hansen has been on the company's board of directors for two years and was previously CEO of Vallent Corp. and secretary of technology for the state of Colorado. He replaces Jim Ewel. GoAhead provides middleware for mission-critical systems.
Brooks Brothers will open a Brooks Brothers Country Club concept store in September at The Shops at The Bravern in Bellevue. The store will be 4,800 square feet and will be located next to DNA 2050 and Piazza Sempione. The country club line sells Brooks Brothers casual clothing. The Bravern is a new development with an outdoor shopping area.
