Seattle City Light hired DaVonna Johnson as human resources officer. She has been interim human resources officer since October of 2008 and previously served as City Light's talent acquisition manager.
The Washington State Association for Justice elected Bradford Fulton as president. Fulton has practiced personal injury law for more than 20 years and has been a member of WSAJ since 1995. Carol Johnston, an attorney with Otorowski, Johnston, Diamond & Golden on Bainbridge Island, is president-elect.
Point B, a professional services firm in Seattle, promoted Paul Lambert to national practice director. Lambert was Seattle practice director for the last five years. Point B has practices in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Portland, San Francisco and Seattle.
Russell Investments hired Katie Beavan as global chief human resources officer. Beavan will also serves as a member of the executive committee and Global Leadership Forum. She has 25 years of experience and will be based in Russell's New York office.

Arbor Village, a continuing care retirement community in Kent, named Jennifer Riggins as community relations director for the campus. Riggins has 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, and was recently a residency counselor at a retirement community in Issaquah.
The Seattle Southside Business Web site launched in July at http://www.seattlesouthsidebusiness.com. The site highlights Southwest King County as a growing area of opportunity and a resource for real estate brokers, investors, developers and business owners who may be looking for expansion possibilities. Seattle Southside includes the cities of Burien, Des Moines, Normandy Park, SeaTac and Tukwila.
Randy Aliment, a member in the Seattle office of Williams Kastner, has been elected as vice chair of the American Bar Association's Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section. His one-year term began Aug. 4. He is chair-elect of the practice section for 2010. The section has 32,000 members and 34 general committees, which provide members opportunities to interact and share information.

Shoreline Community College President Lee Lambert has been named one of the top five community college leaders in the country by the Association of Community College Trustees. Lambert won the 2009 Pacific Regional Chief Executive Officer Award for his regional, national and international efforts. He has led Shoreline since 2006.
Network Mortgage Services relocated its Everett Home Loan Center to The Everett Gateway Center at 3726 Broadway. The new office is the third major expansion for the company. The space provides private offices and a media/conference center that will accommodate up to 15 people. Network Mortgage is an independently owned mortgage banking company based in Snohomish County.
Trophy Cupcakes of Seattle will open its first Eastside location in The Shops at The Bravern this September. Owners Jennifer Shea and Michael Williamson opened the first Trophy Cupcakes and Party location in Seattle's Wallingford Center in 2007.
