Fortune Bank

Fortune Bank has hired George Brace to oversee expansion on the Eastside. Brace was a founding executive of Pacific Northwest Bank in Bellevue in 1988 and continued to work with Wells Fargo after it purchased the organization. It also added Janine Florence to its board of directors. Florence was a director of First Mutual Bank in Bellevue for 23 years. Fortune Bank was founded in 2006.

Coinstar

Bellevue-based Coinstar said John Harvey, chief financial officer, has submitted his resignation effective Nov. 9. The company is searching for a replacement and executing its transition plan. Coinstar is a provider of automated retail solutions such as self-service coin counting and self-service DVD rental.

Council of Young Political Leaders

Rep. Zack Hudgins, D-Tukwila, and six other young political and policy leaders from around the U.S., have been chosen to participate in a 10-day political exchange in India hosted by the American Council of Young Political Leaders. Participants leave Oct. 30. They will study India's political system, talk about international issues and make professional relationships.

Williams Kastner

Law firm Williams Kastner hired Naoko Inoue Shatz to its Seattle office as of counsel. Shatz was an associate at Perkins Coie before establishing her own firm, Shatz Law Group, where her clients included Japanese entities with business interests in the United States and U.S. companies with interests in Japan.

KeyBank

KeyBank is opening new branches in Belltown and Upper Queen Anne Hill. The Belltown office, at 2500 First Ave. facing El Gaucho, has opened and will celebrate its grand opening the week of Oct. 19. The Upper Queen Anne office, at 2105 Queen Anne Ave. N., will hold a grand opening the week of Oct. 26.

Seattle Symphony

Music Director Gerard Schwarz has named British violinist Emma McGrath associate concertmaster with the Seattle Symphony. McGrath was recently assistant concertmaster at the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.

Clarion Seattle Airport Hotel

Choice Hotels International gave awards to Tina Gatewood and Perry Wall of the Clarion Seattle Airport Hotel. Gatewood received the Staff Service Excellence Award and Wall received the General Manager Service Excellence Award.

Arnerich Massena

Arnerich Massena, a Portland-based independent investment advisory firm, promoted Chris Abbruzzese to director of research and analytics, and director of alternative investments. Abbruzzese was a senior analyst at the company and previously worked at JP Morgan Chase.

Mines Management

Mines Management of Spokane hired Michael Rasmussen as vice president of exploration. Rasmussen has 25 years of experience in mining and exploration in the United States, Canada and Mexico. He was a consulting geologist with Mines Management during the past year and assisted with geologic evaluations.
