SMG, an international venue management, marketing and development company, hired Angie Mykel as director of sales and marketing at the Lynnwood Convention Center. Mykel was part of the opening team for the Three Rivers Convention Center, Toyota Center and Toyota Arena in Kennewick, and served as director of sales and marketing for the complex for three years.
Sterling Financial of Spokane, the bank holding company of Sterling Savings Bank and Golf Savings Bank, announced Sterling Financial Director William Eisenhart is non-executive chairman of its board of directors. It promoted J. Gregory Seibly to acting president and chief executive officer of Sterling Financial Corp. and to acting chief executive officer of Sterling Savings Bank and acting chief executive officer of Golf Savings Bank. It promoted Ezra Eckhardt to acting chief operating officer of Sterling Financial Corp and acting president of Sterling Savings Bank. Donn Costa was promoted from executive vice president to acting vice president of Golf Savings Bank.
Providence Mount St. Vincent, a nonprofit assisted living and nursing home in West Seattle, received the 2009 Washington State Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award, presented by the Washington State Psychological Association.

Banner Bank announced Dave Willeiksen, vice president/team leader, recently graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle. Willeiksen works out of the Bellevue Corporate Banking Center.
Law firm Ryan Swanson hired Amanda Bley as an associate and named Robert Curran managing director and member of the Executive Committee. Bley was a summer associate with Ryan Swanson in 2008 before finishing her law degree. Curran has 25 years experience and has been with Ryan Swanson since 1984.
The Downtown Seattle Association, Metropolitan Improvement District, Seattle's Convention and Visitors Bureau and Seattle Center announced a new partnership to promote Seattle's center city as the premier holiday destination in the Northwest. The partners have launched a “Holidays in the City” marketing campaign that will emphasize experiences, attractions, events and promotions that are unique to Seattle.

Daryl Grigsby, public works director for the city of Kirkland, has been appointed to the board of directors of the American Public Works Association as director-at-large, environmental management. The nonprofit has more than 29,000 members involved in public works.
Seattle-based AdReady, a technology company that makes online display advertising, hired Karl Siebrecht as president and chief operating officer. Siebrecht was president of Atlas, an online advertising technology provider and operating unit of aQuantive.
Joe Mickelson has been named operations manager for the Cascade Water Alliance. Mickelson will oversee operations and maintenance of Cascade's Lake Tapps facilities. The nonprofit corporation includes eight municipalities and water districts that joined together in 1999 to provide water.
Bothell-based Seattle Genetics, hired Bruce Seeley as executive vice president, commercial. Seeley has 18 years experience in oncology drug marketing and sales, most recently with Genentech BioOncology. The company also announced the promotion of Kirk Schumacher to vice president, legal affairs and compliance, and general counsel.
