KeyBank

KeyBank hired Floyd Sandoval as a financial advisor at its Redmond branch at 16401 Redmond Way. Sandoval has 10 years of experience in financial services. He previously worked at Chase Investments Services as a senior financial consultant.

City Bank

Conrad Hanson, chairman, president and CEO of City Bank in Lynnwood, is retiring as president and CEO. He will continue as chairman of the board of directors until the annual shareholders' meeting in May. City Bank's board of directors elected Martin Heimbigner, lead independent director, to replace Hanson as president and CEO. The board also elected James Carroll, the bank's executive vice president and a member of the board of directors, to serve as chief credit officer.

KCTS 9

KCTS 9 has hired three new members to its development team: Elizabeth Perera and Asa Tate will serve as major gifts officers while Maria Meyer will be development assistant. Perera has worked at Microsoft, Seattle Symphony and Bellevue College. Tate has 13 years of fundraising experience and worked at the Women's Funding Alliance and the Technology Access Foundation. Meyer recently spent nine years at the Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum.

Port of Tacoma

The Port of Tacoma hired Erin Galeno as chief financial officer. Before joining the Port, Galeno spent 23 years with Weyerhaeuser, most recently as controller for corporate support functions.

Verdiem

Seattle-based Verdiem, a PC power management software company, hired John Scumniotales as vice president of engineering to lead the product development organization. Scumniotales was vice president of products at Serena Software where he defined and delivered Serena's Agile Project and Portfolio Management products to Fortune 500 customers. VJerry Barber has assumed the role of chief technology officer. Barber had served as vice president of engineering.

Washington State University

Washington State University Professor Kerry Hipps has been named a fellow of the American Physical Society. The APS allows only half of one percent of its members to be named as fellows. It has a total membership of 46,000 with about 230 members worldwide elected as fellows each year. Hipps has been the chairman of the chemistry department at WSU since January of 2007. He is also past chair of the materials science program.

F5 Networks

F5 Networks, a company specializing in application delivery networking, hired Gary Abad as vice president of North America channel sales. Abad has over 20 years of experience in the technology sector and was previously VP of channel sales for the Americas at Polycom.

Russell Investments

Russell Investments hired Sandra Cavanaugh as managing director, private client services, Russell's business serving financial intermediaries in North America. Cavanaugh will also become a member of the firm's Executive Committee. She was executive vice president, retail channel at SunTrust. Cavanaugh succeeds Greg Stark who is taking a planned sabbatical beginning in February, after which he will extend his period of leave to pursue an executive education program. Stark is expected to return to Russell in a new role after he completes his studies. Sabbaticals are offered to all Russell employees after 10 years of service.

Andover Medical

Andover Medical in Auburn promoted John Sparks to vice president, sales of the U.S. sales and service force. Sparks has 10 years of experience in leading and developing teams, and has been responsible for sales, customer support and other duties within every geographical region.
