Pacific Continental Bank hired Kelly Chiou as assistant vice president, relationship banking officer. Chiou will be working from the office in Bellevue.
Portland marketing firm Leopold Ketel & Partners, a full service strategic planning and public relations agency, promoted Kevin Reynolds to senior art director. Reynolds, an art director at the agency for the past five years, came to Portland from Chicago in 2005.
Interior design company Ethan Allen is relocating its Lynnwood Design Center. The new 11,395-square-foot space at 2617 196th St. S.W. #171 is scheduled to open this summer. Clients will see layouts and be able to preview purchases with touchscreens.

Laurie Simon, CEO and founder of Kirkland-based Ombrella, received the Small Business Association's National 2011 Woman in Business Champion Award. Simon also won the SBA Washington State and Region 10 Award.
Point B, a management consulting and investment firm, hired Michael Dickstein as chief marketing officer, the top marketing and brand position. Dickstein has worked with McKinsey & Co. and Microsoft.
Everett-based Intermec said Janis Harwell, senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, and senior vice president, strategy, has resigned from her position to pursue personal business interests in the Seattle area. Harwell spent seven years at Intermec. Intermec hired an executive search firm to find a successor. In the interim, Mary Brodd, senior corporate counsel and assistant secretary, will act as general counsel and corporate secretary.

Columbia State Bank hired Mellisa Case as vice president and branch manager of the south Redmond office. Case recently worked at US Bank as an assistant relationship manager and branch manager. She has 16 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Kate Spade New York will open its first full-line shop in Washington at Pacific Place in August. The shop will take 1,600 square feet on level 1 next to BCBG. The brand is distributed in more than 400 spaces worldwide.
Benjamin Anderson, a researcher in the Public Health Sciences Division of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and director of Seattle Cancer Care Alliance's Breast Health Clinic, is the 2011 recipient of the Partners in Progress Award given by the American Society of Clinical Oncology. The award recognizes a person for increasing public awareness about cancer. Anderson received the award for his efforts to improve the quality of care.
