Pacific Continental Bank

Pacific Continental Bank hired Mark Hutcheson as assistant vice president, commercial banking officer. He will work from the bank's office in downtown Seattle.

NTT America

New York-based NTT America promoted Erik Miller to senior manager of technical services and product strategy, global IP network. He was previously manager, sales engineering, global IP network. NTT America is a tier 1 global IP network provider and has an office in Redmond. Miller has been at NTT America for over five years.

Oregon Zoo

The Oregon Zoo promoted Hova Najarian as media and public relations officer. Najarian is a five-year veteran of the zoo's marketing division. He was promoted following a nationwide search that drew more than 250 applicants. Najarian has worked in the marketing division since 2006. He replaces Bill LaMarche, who left the zoo in January to become public information manager for the city of Beaverton.

Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt

Jamila Johnson, an associate in the Seattle office of regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, recently received the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award from the King County Bar Association. The award recognizes attorneys who make substantial contributions to the legal profession. Johnson focuses on commercial, tort and real property litigation.

Waypoint Ventures

Waypoint Ventures, an IT project management firm in Seattle, has received the state Women's Business Enterprise certification and the federal Disadvantaged Business Enterprise classification, known as OMWBE. The business opened in 2003. Partners are Samantha Haney and Meg Olsen.

The Oregon Garden

The Oregon Garden hired Christine Diacetis as general manager of the 80-acre botanical garden in Silverton, Ore., about 45 miles south of Portland. Diacetis has worked as general manager of the Oregon Garden Resort since 2009, and will expand her role to include management of the Oregon Garden. It has 20 themed gardens, event venues and views of the Willamette Valley.

Spaahh

Vivian Weber has been hired to manage Spaahh at Hotel 1000 in Seattle. Weber has six years of experience and was front office/administrative supervisor at Sea Mar Health Community Centers.

Russell Investments

Russell Investments hired Len Brennan as president and CEO. He succeeds Andrew Doman, who will become chairman of the board. Ed Zore who has chaired the board since 2008 will remain as a director. Brennan recently re-joined Russell as chief executive of the EMEA business, a position he will continue to hold in addition to his new responsibilities. His office will be in Seattle, and he will spend time in the London office. Brennan started working at Russell in 1985.

Berk

Berk, formerly Berk & Associates, moved to Marketplace Tower in Seattle, taking half of the eighth floor. This doubles the 23-year-old public policy and management consultancy's space. It had been in Leschi since 1992. Berk has recently added staff, expanding its sustainable communities planning practice.

Fred Hutchinson

Two Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center researchers received awards from the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation: Marie Bleakley and Elahe Mostaghel. Bleakley is an immunologist in the Clinical Research Division working on bone marrow and stem cell transplantation issues. Mostaghel is a prostate cancer researcher and oncologist whose research is on hormone-deprivation therapy treatment.
