The Center for Wooden Boats announced two staff promotions. Eldon Tam is deputy director and Andrew Washburn is historical projects manager. Washburn will retain his role as Cama Beach manager. Tam has served as operations manager at the Seattle museum since 2005.

Lane Powell

Holton

Lane Powell hired Dwight Holton in the White Collar Criminal Defense, Regulatory Compliance and Special Investigations Practice. Holton spent nearly 15 years with the U.S. Department of Justice and recently served a term as U.S. Attorney for Oregon, where he led a team of 100 people.

Bichsel Public Affairs

Marianne Bichsel has launched Bichsel Public Affairs, providing public relations, advocacy and services to foundations and nonprofits. Bichsel has been a lobbyist in Olympia, senior advisor and communications director to Greg Nickels, and a communications strategist for Group Health Cooperative. She was most recently managing director of communications for Casey Family Programs.

Cedarbrook Lodge

Johnson

The Cedarbrook Lodge promoted Terra Johnson to catering and events manager. Johnson joined the Cedarbrook team in February 2011 as the assistant food and beverage manager and was responsible for daily oversight of all the front of the house operations for the restaurant, meetings and banquet events.

City of Kirkland

The Kirkland City Council unanimously elected Joan McBride as mayor and Doreen Marchione as deputy mayor. Both positions are elected by the city council to serve two-year terms. McBride has been on the city council since 1998 and served as mayor from 2010 to 2011 and as deputy mayor from 2002 to 2009. Marchione has served on the city council since January 2010.

The Law Offices of James S. Rogers hired Dana Henderson. Henderson will work in the firm's serious injury and wrongful death practice. She was previously a partner at Betts Patterson Mines and has 14 years of legal experience.

Magner Sanborn

Magner Sanborn, a Spokane-based advertising, brand design and marketing firm, added three people to its digital team in Spokane: Dragan Rusnov as system architect, Ethan Craft as web developer, Alexa Lohmeyer as junior web developer and Areli Nathanson as interactive designer. Clients include Netflix, Amtrak Cascades, Providence Health Care and AmericanWest Bank.

Odom Corp.

Southern Wine & Spirits of America, a wine and spirits distributor with operations in 35 markets, said it will acquire the balance of Odom Corp.'s share in the companies' wine and spirits joint venture as a result of the state privatizing liquor distribution and retailing. Southern's Pacific Northwest headquarters will be in Kirkland. Odom will remain in Bellevue, and focus on beer and non-alcoholic beverages in the Northwest and Alaska. Southern's primary distribution center in this state will be its 350,000-square-foot facility in Puyallup that was acquired last year. It will start operating March 1. John Klein will be executive vice president and general manager.
