The Fife City Council elected Robert Cerqui as mayor and Glenn Hull as mayor pro tem. Both are councilmembers. Cerqui, who previously served as mayor pro tem and is entering his ninth year on council, will serve as mayor for two years.
The nonprofit Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association promoted Christiana DelloRusso to director of commercialization and hired Dennis Kroft as director of marketing and membership. DelloRusso joined the WBBA last January as commercialization associate. Kroft was a marketing principal for HDR in New Jersey. The WBBA serves the life sciences industry in Washington.
Maveron, a consumer-only venture capital firm with offices in Seattle and San Francisco, promoted Jason Stoffer to partner effective immediately. Stoffer was a principal and joined Maveron in 2007.

Law firm Cairncross & Hempelmann said Michael Beers, Stephanie Grassia and Charles Newton have been named principals. Beers is a member of the Corporate Finance & Business Transactions Group. Grassia is a member of the Litigation and Insurance Coverage Groups. Newton is in the Litigation Group.
Ant's Eye View, a Seattle-based social media strategy firm, hired Len Devanna as vice president. Devanna was with EMC Corp. and has 17 years of experience. The agency also recently hired Brian Hsi and Kristal Ferchau as director, social business strategy; Anthony Garcia as senior consultant, social business strategy; and Cathryn Rowe as designer. Hsi worked at Microsoft. Ferchau worked at Jupiter Networks. Garcia worked at Phase One Consulting Group. Rowe worked at the Sam Noble Museum.
Washington State University's Clallam County Extension hired Clea Rome as resource conservationist and development coordinator for Clallam and Jefferson counties. Rome's selection follows a national search. She has served as North Olympic Peninsula Resource Conservation and Development Coordinator for the last three years.

Coastal Hotel Group's Corporate Director of Revenue Management Janelle Cornett has been selected by Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International as one of the Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing. Cornett was selected by a panel of industry experts for leadership over the last 18 months. Seattle-based Coastal Hotel Group manages a portfolio of hotels and resorts including Cedarbrook Lodge.
Holland America Line promoted Rob Coleman to vice president for North America field, charter and incentive sales. Coleman was director of charter and incentive sales. He joined Holland America Line in 2006.
The Seattle law office of Davis Wright Tremaine hired Brian Bentcover as a partner in the Communications, Media and Technology Group. Bentcover was an in-house attorney at Microsoft for 11 years where he led legal and regulatory support.
