Artist Trust

Artist Trust named Margit Rankin executive director, effective Feb. 21. Rankin is the former executive director of Seattle Arts & Lectures and was associate director of the University of Washington's Simpson Center for the Humanities. She has a Ph.D. in comparative literature from Princeton.

ProCure Treatment Centers and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance hired Annika Andrews as president and CEO of SCCA Proton Therapy, a ProCure Center in north Seattle. Andrews has 17 years of experience in health care and was senior vice president and COO of Northwest Hospital & Medical Center.

Seattle's Convention and Visitors Bureau launched a new travel platform to promote overnight stays and highlight the city's art and culinary scene. 2DaysInSeattle.com is a companion site to SCVB's visitseattle.org. Users can plan an itinerary for a trip to Seattle and post their experiences. SCVB worked with Klout and Copacino + Fujikado on the project.

The Kirkland-based mobile marketing company Hipcricket hired Alan Sultan as senior vice president of business development, channel sales. Sultan was founder and president of Acuity Mobile, and general manager of Enterprise Mobile Marketing Solutions at Nokia.

Association of Washington Business

The Association of Washington Business honored seven private employers as part of the Better Workplace Awards. Workplace Safety Awards went to Ash Grove Cement in Seattle and Fluor Federal Services in Richland. The Job Training/ Advancement Award went to Clark Nuber in Bellevue and Sonderen Packaging in Spokane. The Innovative Benefits/Compensation Award went to Ryan in Bellevue and Wheelabrator Spokane in Spokane. The Continuous Improvement Award went to Skils'kin in Spokane.

NAES

NAES Corp., a Issaquah-based provider of services to the energy industry, hired Debra Olson as vice president and general counsel. Olson was chief legal executive for several leading energy industry organizations including Areva Solar and Vestas Americas Wind Technology.

Sound Telecom of Seattle, a nationwide provider of telephone answering, call center and unified communication services, hired Richard Cole as West Coast regional account executive. Cole has 20 years of experience in human resource software and solutions with ADP, PeopleSoft, Ceridian and Kronos.
