Washington State University President Elson Floyd appointed Mike Trevisan interim dean beginning Jan. 1, 2013. Trevisan will succeed Dean A.G. Rud. Trevisan has worked as associate dean for research and external funding, and is associate director of the WSU Learning & Performance Research Center.

Seattle law firm Lane Powell appointed Claire Loebs Davis as a shareholder in the securities litigation practice gorup. Davis was with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and is chair of the Washington State Bar Association, Animal Law Section.
Regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt named new practice group leaders in Seattle: Christopher Howard, group leader of general litigation, and Jennifer Campbell, assistant group leader of product lititgation. Schwabe, Williamson has offices in Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, and Bend and Salem, Ore.

Tacoma-based Columbia Bank hired Paul Winer as residential loan officer in Pierce and Thurston counties. Winer worked for Harborstone Credit Union. Columbia Bank is a Washington state-chartered commercial bank.
Tacoma-based Meracord hired Timothy Walker as executive vice president, general counsel. He was senior counsel for Ciber Inc. for the IT outsourcing division and prior to that, senior counsel for First Data Corp. Meracord is a third-party payment service for contract payments.
Washington Glass Association announced new officers effective March 1, 2013: President, Bill Coady of Guardian Industries; past president, Bernie Thueringer of Pacific Glass; vice president, Amy Anderson of Atlas Supply; secretary, Jon Larson of Larson Glass Company and treasurer, Ed Howell of Hartung Glass. The association is a trade association representing architectural and automotive glass firms.

Seattle-based Hornall Anderson hired Rose Cameron as head of global brand strategy and David Glaze as vice president of interactive. Cameron was chief strategy officer for Euro RSCG; Glaze worked as group creative director for The Designory. Hornall Anderson is a branding and design firm.
Shoreline Water District hired Barbara Shosten, CPA as finance manager. Shosten worked as director of finance at Public Utility District No. 1 of Whatcom county and prior to that, finance manager at both Highline Water District and the city of Bellevue's Utilities Department.
Spokane Allied Fire and Security CEO Terrill Hunt won the Washington State University Alumni Association Achievement Award for his contributions to the business community. Hunt has more than 100 employees in Spokane, Portland and Seattle.
