Lane Powell

Seattle law firm Lane Powell hired Mark McBride as an attorney in the litigation practice group. McBride was an associate last summer and worked as a judicial intern for judges Owen M. Panner and Mark D. Clarke of the Federal District Court of Oregon.

City of Kent

Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke appointed Ronald Moore as city clerk effective Jan. 7 succeeding Brenda Jacober, who retired last month after 37 years. Moore was named deputy city clerk of Shoreline in 2005 and previously worked as city clerk of Normandy Park. Kent is the sixth largest city in Washington.

En Masse Entertainment

Seattle-based En Masse Entertainment promoted Chris Lee to CEO, and hired Soo Min Park as COO and Bryan Koski as director of marketing. Lee was the company's vice president of publishing. Park was vice president for Nexon America and Koski was group marketing manager for the Halo franchise at Microsoft. En Masse Entertainment creates and publishes online gaming.

Seattle-based law firm Miller Nash added Jennifer Divine as partner on the employment law and education practice teams, and Jeffrey Grieff as counsel on the business trusts and estates practice teams. Miller Nash is a corporate and litigation law firm in the Pacific Northwest.

Brotherton

Seattle law firm Ryan Swanson & Cleveland named Kari Brotherton as its newest member. Brotherton was appointed chair of the estate planning and probate group in June 2012, and has been an attorney and certified public accountant with the firm since 2006.

Williams Kastner

Seattle law firm Williams Kastner hired Marshall Ferguson, Sharon Peters and Ellen Voss as members. Ferguson practices real estate and aviation law; Peters focuses on employment litigation; and Voss practices medical malpractice litigation.

Peterson Sullivan

The Seattle-based accounting firm Peterson Sullivan said it has acquired Bothell-based Davenny & Associates PS. Davenny & Associates was established in 1992 by Robert A. Davenny, Jr., who began his career at Ernst & Young, and was the tax partner in charge of their entrepreneurial service group. Davenny & Associates specializes in tax and advisory services to real estate, elder care facilities, and closely held businesses and their owners, and high wealth individuals. Peterson Sullivan will have more than 100 employees in its offices in downtown Seattle.

Columbia Basin Development League

Milton Johnston of Ellensburg was elected chair of the Columbia Basin Development League, created in 1964 to support the Bureau of Reclamation's Columbia Basin Project. Orman Johnson of Othello is vice chair, Jake Wollman Jr. of Warden is treasurer and Jeff Schibel of Odessa is secretary. Ron Fode of Moses Lake continues on the board as past chair. Andy Erickson with J.R. Simplot in Moses Lake was elected to the board. The league promotes extension of irrigation infrastructure within the Columbia Basin Project.
