Blue Rooster

Blue Rooster, an interactive agency and tech company focused on Global 500 intranets, said it received $3 million in private equity funding from PFU Limited, a subsidiary of Fujitsu. It is also opening offices in Hong Kong and New York, and hired Todd Ray to head the strategy practice. Ray has eight years of experience on Microsoft's business strategy consulting team. Seattle-based Blue Rooster was founded in 2000.

Puget Sound American Marketing

Puget Sound American Marketing Association said Jim Copacino, co-founder and executive creative director of Copacino+Fujikado, won the 2013 Legend Award and will be honored at the association's Pulse Awards Nov. 7 at Bell Harbor Conference Center in Seattle. He worked at Chiat/Day Seattle, Livingston & Co., Cole & Weber and McCann-Erickson before co-founding C+F with Betti Fujikado. Pulse Awards finalists for 2013 include Fluke, Microsoft, Seattle Children's, Bing and Laird Norton Wealth Management.

Aura Bakery & Coffee Bar

Aura Bakery & Coffee Bar has opened at 116 Central Way in Kirkland. The family-owned business will provide breakfast and lunch. Bill Cooper, vice president, and Taylor Olson, associate, of Colliers International Bellevue represented Aura in leasing. Magellan Architects designed the space, while TCI Inc. was the general contractor. Wallace Properties represents the property owner.

Kirkland law firm Livengood Fitzgerald & Alskog has expanded its litigation and health care law practice by adding associate attorney Grady L. Williamson. Williamson advises clients on complex civil litigation, insurance defense, premises liability, health care law, civil rights and employment law. She practiced law in Austin, Texas.

Yglesias

Frause promoted Maria Yglesias to creative service project coordinator. Yglesias joins the design team after working as Frause's communications coordinator. She will assist the creative services project manager with planning and estimating graphic design projects. Her background includes managing intercommunications for a firm in Costa Rica. Frause is a communications firm with offices in Seattle and Portland.

Willis North America

Willis North America, a unit of Willis Group Holdings, a global risk advisor, insurance and reinsurance broker, appointed David Carroll as personal risk advisor in the personal lines practice, which provides services to individuals and families with complex risks in the U.S. and Canada. Carroll is based in Seattle and will be responsible for business development and expansion in Washington and Oregon. He was vice president at Umpqua Bank.

City of Tacoma

Deputy Mayor Marty Campbell was recognized by the National League of Cities for reaching the Silver level in its leadership program. The award will be presented in Seattle in November. The trainings cover core areas of municipal leadership including governance, communications, partnerships and managing change.

Square 2 Marketing

A Warrington, Penn.-based company called Square 2 Marketing has opened an office on the West Coast by acquiring Six Two Interactive in Bellevue. Jason Gilbert, founder of Six Two Interactive, will be regional director for Square 2 Marketing and work on adding clients west of the Mississippi. Square 2 is an inbound marketing agency designed to get leads for clients. It focuses on professional services, health care, tech, manufacturing and financial services.

Summit Capital

Summit Capital of Seattle said Kevin Glynn has joined the firm as a portfolio manager, expanding the global investment program for clients seeking asset management. He founded Glynn Portfolio Management and managed client portfolios for more than a decade, and also worked at Citigroup, D.A. Davidson and Key Investments.
