The national law firm of Foley & Mansfield has added attorney J. Scott Wood to its equity partnership. He joined the Oakland office in 2007, and founded the Seattle office in 2010. Wood is managing partner in Seattle and has a practice in California. He focuses on commercial litigation, real estate, construction, liability and toxic torts.
Riddell Williams added a new attorney, Alessandra Allen, as an associate in the Real Estate and Environmental practice groups. She was a legal intern at the Northwest Defenders Association and a summer associate at Riddell Williams in 2012.
Milton Johnston of Ellensburg was re-elected chair of the Columbia Basin Development League, with Orman Johnson of Othello re-elected vice chair, Jake Wollman, Jr. of Warden as treasurer and Jeff Schibel of Odessa as secretary. Ron Fode of Moses Lake continues on the board as past chair. The league promotes the extension of irrigation infrastructure in the Columbia Basin Project.

Cairncross & Hempelmann has expanded the family law practice with of counsel attorney Ed Skone. He specializes in complex marital estates.
REI has promoted two vice presidents: Annie Zipfel is vice president of marketing and Susan Viscon is vice president of merchandising. The company is starting a national search for a chief marketing officer to replace Angela Owen, who is leaving the company. Zipfel will lead marketing during the search. Zipfel joined REI in 2012 from Target. Viscon takes over merchandising from Senior Vice President Lee Fromson, who is also leaving the company.
FareStart, a local nonprofit that provides culinary job training to homeless and disadvantaged people, said its national effort, Catalyst Kitchens, now has 50 members in its network including organizations in Canada and United Kingdom. Catalyst Kitchens' network provides job training and support services to people in 18 states. It recently added members in Missouri, Maryland, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, California and Everett Gospel Mission in Everett. David Carleton is national director for FareStart and Catalyst Kitchens.

Thrive by Five Washington named Sam Whiting to lead the public-private partnership for early learning, which has just merged with the Foundation for Early Learning. Whiting is a community investor for education at Boeing, and leads the company's work with state and local education groups working to improve education. He has worked at Children's Home Society, Page Ahead and The Seattle Foundation.
West Monroe Partners, a business and technology consultancy, said it has added Madrona Solutions Group, a Seattle-based consulting firm focused customer relationship management and business intelligence, to its Seattle office. Madrona has 23 people in Seattle and six in Raleigh, N.C., who are now part of West Monroe Partners. Madrona's Seattle executives Brian Paulen, Scott Kostojohn and Rod Achtmann-Mendoza are directors at West Monroe Partners. The Seattle office now numbers more than 60 people. West Monroe will enter the Raleigh market with this acquisition.
