Northwest Kidney Centers

Dr. Rijuna Menon has been named medical director of Northwest Kidney Centers' Enumclaw dialysis clinic, one of 15 dialysis clinics operated by the nonprofit kidney care organization.

In that role Dr. Menon will be in charge of quality assessment, performance improvement, staff education, policies and procedures, water quality and safety, and medical leadership for the Enumclaw clinic. She is also staff nephrologist at Valley Medical Center in Renton, where she is involved in primary care, inpatient hospital consultations, transplant and dialysis care.

Wells Fargo & Company

Wells Fargo & Company announced it will invest a $100,000 grant to FareStart in support of its commitment to workforce development and job creation.

“Wells Fargo understands the importance of workforce development and helping create sustainable communities that have been hard hit with unemployment,” said Mark Dederer, VP of Community Affairs in Washington and Oregon. “FareStart has an outstanding reputation and they have produced results that have transformed people's lives. We hope this grant will go a long way to help strengthen and reinforce their efforts.”

West Business Concepts, a Tacoma-based performance consulting and executive coaching firm has rebranded under the new name: Prosperity Logic. It also has a new website at http://www.prosperitylogic.com.

Washington State University

The Board of Regents of Washington State University has given a five-year contract extension to school president Elson S. Floyd. The regents voted Monday to extend his contract from 2016 to 2021. Board Chair Connie Niva says the extension was a result of Floyd's exemplary service to WSU and the state.

Bioremediation Specialists

The Bioremediation Specialists, L.L.C. board of directors has promoted Troy Fowler to President and Chief Technology Officer. Fowler has a background in biochemistry and has focused on advanced chemical and biological environmental remediation techniques for the past 12 years. The company also appointed Julie Wilson, Ph.D., to its board of directors. Dr. Wilson brings 35 years of environmental experience, including extensive natural resource, stormwater, and public engagement achievements to the firm. Bioremediation Specialists is a remediation products company with offices in Seattle and Beaverton, Oregon.

KPLU

Stokes

88.5 KPLU announced that Kyle Stokes will join the station as its digital-first reporter focused on Youth and Education on March 10. He'll report for both online and on-air but will take a digital-first approach to the beat. Stokes leaves WFIU-FM in Bloomington, Indiana where he has reported regional stories and maintained a blog on state education policy since 2011 for StateImpact Indiana. For his work on the radio special Progress Report: Education in Indiana which ran on public radio stations across Indiana, Stokes received the 2012 National Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA).

City of Fife

Subir Mukerjee is Fife's new deputy city manager. He is the former Milton city manager, and was assistant city manager and community development director for Olympia.

One Reel

One Reel has made some new hires and reorganized management. Aubrey Bergauer has been promoted from marketing director to senior director of community engagement and now oversees all revenue streams for the organization. Jyo Singh has joined as director of program development. He was Seattle Center's director of commercial facilities and events, and previously managed KeyArena. Singh will oversee new projects, including ventures focused on South King and Pierce counties. Pauline Middlehurst has been promoted to sponsorship sales director from associate director of development and sponsorship. Barbara Mitchell is manager of public relations and special opportunities.
