Landgraf

Red Lion Hotels hired Angela Landgraf as senior vice president of business development to help expand into major U.S. markets through acquisitions and development. She will also work on hotel conversions. Landgraf has more than 20 years of business development and sales experience, and was senior vice president of business development and management for Richfield Hospitality. She also worked for Sage Hospitality, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and InterContinental Hotel Group.

Modumetal

Modumetal, a Seattle-based manufacturer of nanolaminated metal alloys, named John Beaver chief financial officer. He was CFO of Silicor Materials and Sterling Chemicals. Modumetal said it is developing materials for structural, corrosion and high wear applications using an electrochemical manufacturing approach that reduces the cost and raw material consumption while improving performance.

Opus Bank

Opus Bank hired Kevin Geraci as managing director of Income Property Banking for the Pacific Northwest. Geraci is a 20-year banking and finance veteran, and worked for the National Real Estate Group of Zions Bank as regional director for Alaska, Montana, Oregon and Washington.

Western Washington University

Christopher “Kit” Spicer has been hired as dean of the College of Fine and Performing Arts at Western Washington University. Spicer has been interim CFPA dean.

Whidbey Island Bank

Christine Heckert has been named senior vice president and SBA manager for Whidbey Island Bank. Heckert will lead an expanded SBA lending team in Lynnwood. The bank also hired Steven Evans, VP/SBA commercial lending officer, Renee Petit as AVP/SBA credit supervisor and Jennifer Stoves as SBA credit assistant. Whidbey Island Bank has 32 locations in six counties.

Pierce County Superior Court

Phil Sorensen is a new Pierce County Superior Court judge, appointed by Gov. Jay Inslee to fill a seat vacated when Superior Court Judge Linda Lee was named to the Washington State Court of Appeals. Sorensen spent 24 years with the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney's office.

Port of Everett

The Port of Everett named Catherine Soper to manage digital communications and support the public affairs department. Soper will work on social media, websites, publications and community outreach. Previously she supported the seaport and real estate divisions, including event venues.

Footvote

Seattle-based firm of Footvote, which promotes Made in USA products, named Stewart MacLeod chief technology officer. MacLeod has served on the Footvote advisory board. He has more than 36 U.S. patents and played a role in products like SQL Server, Windows Server and Microsoft Office as director, architect and principal unit manager for 20 years at Microsoft.
