Emory Thomas, former publisher and editor of Puget Sound Business Journal, is returning to the PSBJ as publisher. Thomas has been chief content officer at American City Business Journals, parent company of the PSBJ. He worked at the Seattle paper from 2004 to 2011.

Dr. Sheila Edwards Lange has been named interim president of Seattle Central College, effective Aug. 17. She is vice president for minority affairs and vice provost for diversity at the University of Washington, and is adjunct faculty at UW Evans School of Public Affairs.
Lighthouse eDiscovery, which provides technology-enabled discovery services, promoted John Olson to director of focus discovery, leading a team of former review attorneys and data analysis experts. He was director of hosted solutions and managed a team of review database project managers. Olson was a staff attorney in the e-discovery group at K&L Gates. Lighthouse eDiscovery opened an office in New York City this week.

Louise Chernin, president and CEO of the Greater Seattle Business Association, has been appointed to the Seattle College District Board of Trustees by Gov. Jay Inslee. GSBA says it is the largest LGBT Chamber of Commerce in the U.S. Chernin will be one of five members of the board, replacing Courtney Gregoire, whose term has expired.
The law firm Dorsey & Whitney said J. Michael Keyes has joined the Intellectual Property Litigation Group in Seattle as a partner. He focuses on trademark infringement, copyright infringement, unfair competition and false advertising. Keyes was with K&L Gates.
ABRA Auto Body & Glass and its principal owner, Hellman & Friedman, said they will acquire 23 Kadel's Auto Body locations in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. This is part of ABRA's national expansion plan. Kadel's Auto Body is an investment managed by KCB Private Equity of Pasadena, California.

Rod Cruickshank, president and CEO of The Partners Group in Bellevue, has been named director of the Council of Employee Benefits Executives. The Partners Group's services include employee benefits, business consulting, retirement planning and investment services, commercial and individual insurance.
SNBL USA, an Everett company that does preclinical research, said Charlie Barker has joined the executive team as director of scientific services. He has 22 years of experience in the toxicology field, including research labs and drug development.
