Seattle branding and design firm Hornall Anderson hired Rahmin Eslami as a vice president of design. He will work with current VP of design Michael Connors, and oversee an inter-disciplinary team. Eslami was a creative director with Landor Associates in Chicago, and has worked on projects for Abbott, Bank of Nova Scotia, GE, Johnson & Johnson, Michelin and Procter & Gamble.

Michael Yoder joined Associated Ministries in Tacoma as executive director. He has 30 years of experience in nonprofits and worked for 12 years at World Vision where he launched a national program about AIDS in Africa.

Blue Point Capital Partners

The private equity firm Blue Point Capital Partners announced the recapitalization of Russell Food Equipment Ltd. in Canada. Founded in 1938, Vancouver-based Russell serves more than 20,000 foodservice operators. Blue Point has offices in Charlotte, Cleveland, Seattle and Shanghai, and is managing over $800 million in committed capital.

Pacific Northwest law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt hired Sarah Roubidoux Lawson to its Indian law practice group. Lawson has over a decade of experience and has advised tribal governments on tax, real estate and employment matters, and taught courses on federal Indian law. She is an appellate judge for Northwest Intertribal Court System and on the boards of Northwest Indian Bar Association and National Tribal Land Association. Lawson was general counsel for Snoqualmie Indian Tribe.

First California Mortgage Co., a home lender active throughout the U.S., is expanding in the Northwest, hiring regional vice president Travis Newbauer, a 12-year industry veteran, to oversee Washington and Oregon. The group will be based in the Kirkland branch at 4040 Lake Washington Blvd. The new loan officers are Paul Berry, Wayland Coleman, Jeremiah Hackbart, Eric Hildebrand, Greg Prendergast, Jose Puebla, Zachary Smith and Esteban Valenzuela.
