KING 5 News has opened its new studio and named a new leader. Cheryl Carson, former KING 5 assistant news director and interim news director, has been named news director. Carson first joined as assistant news director in 2012. Before that she was with KTTV in Los Angeles and WGHP in Greensboro-Winston Salem-High Point, North Carolina.
Several new employees are joining the team at Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority and a few are returning. Brenda Rolph is vice president, Finance & Operations. Autumn Lingle is executive assistant. Kristina Thorne has been promoted to sports events development. Jene Santos is the new sales manager. Nick Tolley is social media and content manager. Sherri Scott is graphic design and creative services manager. Noelle Cueto is partner services coordinator. Shawn Woods was promoted from concierge to Visitor Center coordinator.

James B. Zack has joined Lane Powell's Seattle office as an attorney in the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Practice Group. Zack was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Brian D. Lynch and a judicial extern to the Honorable Karen A. Overstreet, both of U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington.
Bellingham-based Skagit Bank hired Dwight Jeppson as a vice president and commercial loan officer in downtown Bellingham. He has more than 25 years of experience in banking and real estate. Skagit Bank was founded in 1958 and has offices in Skagit, Snohomish, Whatcom and King counties.

First Sound Bank hired Tammy J. Hanson as executive vice president and chief administrative officer. Hanson was first vice president and manager of commercial and consumer technology for HomeStreet Bank.
Bellevue-based Nintex said Alain Gentilhomme is its new chief technology officer. Nintex helps organizations with business processes, workflows and mobile apps. Gentilhomme joins Nintex from Seattle-based Parallels, where he led product strategy and technology directions, overseeing 450 technical professionals. He also worked at Acronis and Microsoft.

Central Washington University named Nina Oman, PhD, executive director of institutional effectiveness. The department collects and analyzes data about academic programs, students, faculty and staff, and responds to requests for data. Oman was director of institutional effectiveness and accreditation liaison officer at Heritage University.
California-based Opus Bank said Ron Wilkowski has joined as senior managing director of commercial banking for the Pacific Northwest. Wilkowski is a 29-year banking veteran. He was with MUFG Union Bank, where he led business development in Washington and Oregon, and also worked at Key Bank.
Remitly, an independent digital remittance company based in Seattle, hired Krish Srinivasan as chief financial officer. He has 20 years of experience in financial planning, analysis and investor relations at Microsoft, Amazon and Lyft. Andy Larson, Remitly's current CFO, will take on new leadership responsibilities.
