Lane Powell said the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has appointed Mary Jo Heston to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Washington. Heston will replace Judge Paul Snyder, who has retired. Her 14-year term began Feb. 1. Heston joined Lane Powell in 1993.

Juno Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company developing immunotherapies to treat cancer, named Corsee D. Sanders, Ph.D., executive vice president and head of development operations. Sanders was with Roche Pharmaceuticals and Genentech.

UW Bothell

Adams

Kara Adams was named director of community engagement at UW Bothell. Her work will help the university apply for the Carnegie Community Engagement classification. Adams oversees the UW Bothell Office of Community-Based Learning and Research.

Coldstream Holdings

Coldstream Holdings Inc., the parent company of Coldstream Wealth Management, has agreed to merge with The Rainier Group of Bellevue, which offers investment advice and mid-market business consulting. Rainier Group Investment Advisory will do business as Coldstream Wealth Management, and Rainier Group Business Advisory will be The Rainier Group. Rainier oversees $760 million in assets. Coldstream currently manages $1.9 billion in assets.

Ritani

Ritani, a designer and manufacturer of engagement rings and jewelry with an omnichannel sales model, has hired Deborah Fine as CEO. Fine has two decades of experience leading lifestyle businesses, and will split her time between Ritani's Seattle and New York operation centers. Ritani has says it has over 250 independent retailers and uses in-store tools and apps to “merge the offline and online worlds.”

Western Washington University named Chris Roselli director of Front Door to Discovery, a program that connects WWU resources, students and faculty to people seeking collaborative opportunities. Roselli graduated from WWU in 1999, and has worked there in admissions and alumni programs.

Lockton

The insurance brokerage Lockton will add Seattle insurance and risk advisor Laura Walton as a senior vice president as part of its expansion in the Pacific Northwest. Walton will lead business development and client strategy in the new Seattle office. Walton has worked at Willis Towers Watson and The Fournier Group. The new office will open in temporary space at 601 108th St. N.E. in Bellevue, and expand into permanent space later this year.
