Brad Thomas, a Forbes financial analyst who focuses on real estate investment trusts, is bringing his newsletter, podcast and website, iREITinvestor.com, to TheMaven. The Seattle-based media network is being launched this quarter by James Heckman, formerly and executive with News Corp. and Yahoo.
Spoken Communications, which provides Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) solutions, named Brian Silverman executive vice president of sales. Silverman was vice president and general manager at inContact, and co-founder and CEO of the call center provider Five9. Spoken said it combines cloud, big data and AI technologies.

Vioguard, which provides ultraviolet light disinfecting solutions for health care, named David Schultz president and CEO, replacing Laurance Ranta, who will play an advisory role in the company. Schultz was executive vice president of global operations for EagleView Technologies, and also worked at The Ryland Group. Vioguard makes a self-sanitizing automated keyboard and mouse system.
Perkins Coie said Eric D. Miller and Christine M. Salmi have been selected as appellate lawyer representatives for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, serving through 2019. Miller is chair of the firm's appellate law practice, based in Seattle. Salmi is a senior counsel in the Boise office, and heads the local litigation practice.

Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker elected Angelia Wesch as managing partner, replacing co-managing partners J. Craig Rusk and Tom Krider, who have led the firm for three years. Krider will return to full-time practice with the firm. Rusk will serve on a management committee with partner Jason Wandler. Wesch's practice focuses on insurance coverage and litigating complex construction claims. She is an original member of Women Leaders in Construction.
JND Legal Administration expands its business development team with David Hoffman, a new senior business development consultant. He has spent more than 12 years in business development for the legal community, most recently at Dahl Administration.

Northwest Kidney Centers hired Chris Matala as director of supply chain, to lead procurement, supply handing, logistics and warehousing for the dialysis provider's 15 clinics in King and Clallam counties. He was director of supply chain for Island Hospital. NKC also named new clinical directors to manage the home dialysis program and oversee multiple clinics. Jayson Hood, RN, is clinical director for home programs. Heather Johnson, RN, is clinical director responsible for three clinics on First Hill in Seattle and one at SeaTac.
OpenRoad Auto Group of British Columbia is expanding in the U.S. by acquiring a luxury auto dealership in Bellevue that sells Bentley, Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce cars. OpenRoad owns and operates a Rolls-Royce dealership in Vancouver, and sells Bentley and Lamborghini cars in Burnaby and Langley, British Columbia. OpenRoad said it was attracted by the major companies based in the Seattle area as well as the region's cultural diversity and robust economy.
