He has extensive experience in financial crimes compliance and cybersecurity. The company also has moved its headquarters from Santa Monica, California to Seattle.

Seattle-based First Choice Health hired Ron Cornell as director of product innovation and James Cassel as director of Oregon sales. Cornell was lead consultant for innovation and strategic development at Premera Blue Cross. He has more than 20 years of experience with healthcare market product development. Cassel has more than 14 years of sales and marketing experience, and was lead account sales executive at Providence Health Plan. First Choice is a health plan administrator.

Maglio Christopher & Toale

Attorney Brenton A. Elswick joined Maglio Christopher & Toale's vaccine injury litigation team in Seattle. Elswick is experienced in contracts, torts, business law and intellectual property matters. He was part of a federal-court appointed team tasked with unwinding a $190 million foreign currency arbitrage Ponzi scheme.

Handley

88.5 KNKX hired Northwest jazz radio veteran Carol Handley as director of music programming. KNKX's current music director, Nick Francis, retires this month after 13 years in that position. Handley has decades of programming, management and on-air experience in Seattle, and was interim general manager and on-air host at KBCS-FM at Bellevue College.

Omeros

In Seattle, biopharmaceutical company Omeros named Dr. Eckhard Leifke chief medical officer and vice president of clinical development. Leifke has more than 20 years of drug development experience, having built and headed global teams at Sanofi, Bayer and Takeda. He takes over for Dr. J. Steven Whitaker, who is focusing on regulatory approvals for Omeros' antibody drug OMS721.

Cairncross & Hempelmann

In Seattle, Jessica L. Roe joined Cairncross & Hempelmann's real estate team and Jonathan D. Tebbs joined the litigation team. Roe is experienced with the Land Use Petition Act, SEPA, design review challenges, zoning laws and housing affordability. Tebbs focuses on commercial litigation and business disputes in state and federal courts, including securities, antitrust, trade secrets and product liability cases.

Bothell-based Essentia Water hired Chuck Czerkawski as CFO and Jennifer Watson as senior director of human resources. Czerkawski was executive vice president and CFO at Avedis Zildjian Co. Before that, he held senior finance positions at Gillette, Pepsi Bottling and Pharmasol. Watson has more than 20 years of HR experience, with leadership roles at Avanade, Microsoft, Motorola and ADC Telecommunications. Essentia bottles ionized alkaline water.

EagleView Technologies

EagleView Technologies, a Bothell-based provider of aerial imagery and data analytics, is acquiring Spookfish Limited, an Australian developer of geospatial imagery products and services, in an all-cash deal expected to close later this year. Spookfish aerial cameras allow EagleView to capture images at higher resolutions, allowing customers to interpret property features, conditions or changes with more accuracy.

Alpine Immune Sciences

Seattle-based Alpine Immune Sciences, which focuses on immunotherapy to treat cancer, autoimmune/inflammatory and other diseases, named Mark Litton, Ph.D. president and chief operating officer. Dr. Litton was with Alder BioPharmaceuticals, where he has served as chief business officer and treasurer since co-founding the company in 2004.
