Marzolf

Seattle-based sustainable forest products company Port Blakely hired Liz Marzolf as vice president of people. Marzolf has held various executive-level human resources positions at Starbucks and WeWork, and was a coaching and organizational development consultant. Port Blakely owns and manages forests in Washington, Oregon and New Zealand.

CellNetix

Zapp

In Tukwila, CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories hired Andrew Zapp as vice president of sales and marketing. Zapp has nearly 20 years of experience in the pathology and health care industries, with leadership roles at Caris Life Sciences, Inform Diagnostics, LabCorp and Abbott Laboratories. CellNetix provides diagnostic pathology and laboratory services to hospitals and clinics throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Pacific Northwest Ballet

Principal dancer Lindsi Dec announced her retirement from Pacific Northwest Ballet. Dec joined PNB in 2001 as an apprentice and was promoted in 2002 to corps de ballet, in 2009 to soloist and in 2014 to principal. In her next role, she will teach private and master ballet classes, work on plans for a private ballet studio, and continue with Solu, the professional dance wear line created with her husband, former PNB principal dancer Karel Cruz.

Harborview Medical Center

InStyle magazine named Dr. Sachita Shah to its Badass 50 list. This year's list profiles 50 female health care professionals across the country who are helping fight COVID-19. Shah was one of the first to treat COVID-19 patients before the nation knew the virus had traveled stateside. She is an associate professor of emergency medicine and adjunct associate professor of global health at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She works clinically at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Geoverse

Bellevue-based Geoverse is partnering with San Francisco-based Orion Labs to provide communications for industries such as hospitality, facilities services and energy. Geoverse specializes in interconnected private LTE/5G networks, while Orion operates a voice communication and automation platform for frontline workers. The first deployment, for the hotel opening next month at 7 Cedars Casino in Sequim, uses Geoverse's private LTE network with citizens broadband radio service to ensure connectivity for guests and staff.

BP

In Anchorage, BP completed the sale of its upstream Alaska business and Prudhoe Bay oil field operations to Hilcorp of Houston. BP said the upstream assets comprise the vast majority of the deal value. Last summer, BP said it would exit Alaska and sell its business there to Hilcorp for $5.6 billion. The sale includes BP's entire upstream and midstream business in the state, as well as interest in the Trans Alaska Pipeline System.

In Lakewood, Harborstone Credit Union hired Robert Luettjohann as senior vice president and chief lending officer. Luettjohann has over 25 years of experience in commercial lending, including credit administration and relationship management. He comes from First Federal Savings and Loan of McMinnville, Oregon, where he held a similar position.

The Downtown Seattle Association has 10 new board members: Susan Boyd, CEO of Bellwether Housing; Ben Franz-Knight, a partner at Shiels Obletz Johnsen; Phillip Greany, marketing director and director of business development for Mortenson's Pacific Northwest operations; A-P Hurd, founder of Skipstone; Jesse Ottele, executive managing director at Newmark Knight Frank; Jeffrey Roh, CEO of IntuitiveX; Brian Surrat, assistant vice president of real estate development and community relations for the Seattle office of Alexandria Real Estate Equities; Raymond Tymas-Jones, president of Cornish College of the Arts; Maria Chavez Wilcox, CEO of YWCA Seattle; and Rick Yoder, owner of Wild Ginger. Board members serve three-year terms.

Ossia

Bellevue-based tech company Ossia made a deal with FIH Mobile for FIH to design, integrate and manufacture products embedded with Ossia's Cota wireless power system. Taiwan-based FIH is a subsidiary of Hon Hai Foxconn Group that focuses on the handset and wireless communications industries. Cota delivers targeted energy to devices at a distance without wires, cables or charging pads.

NWSA

The Northwest Seaport Alliance's Clean Truck Program was a finalist in the International Association of Ports and Harbors' World Ports Sustainability Program Awards. NWSA's program competed in the Community Outreach & Port City Dialogue category against other two finalists, from South Korea and Spain (the winner). The Clean Truck Program, started in January 2019, has significantly decreased diesel pollution from trucks serving international container terminals in Seattle and Tacoma.

ExtraHop

Forbes named Seattle-based ExtraHop to its 2020 AI 50 list. ExtraHop was selected on the basis of company growth and revenue, as well as its leadership in the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence for cybersecurity threat detection, investigation and response. ExtraHop provides enterprise cyber analytics.
