City of Seattle

The city of Seattle's Department of Education & Early Learning is seeking an Early Learning Program Specialist who will monitor and assess the quality of child care and early learning programs that contract with the department. In addition, this person will provide technical assistance and training as needed to support programs in meeting the department's program quality standards. Hunter Communications

Hunter Communications, a fiber-optic communications services provider in southern Oregon and northern California, has been awarded $19.2 million through the Federal Communication Commission's Rural Digital Opportunity Fund Phase I auction. Hunter will deploy 100% fiber-optic broadband networks to offer internet services to 5,771 underserved homes and businesses in rural Oregon and northern California communities. Founded in 1992, Hunter is headquartered in Medford.

Strike Graph

Seattle-based Strike Graph, a compliance automation startup, announced the launch of its new AI technology platform. The first feature on the new Strike Graph AI platform is the ability to answer each question on a company's security questionnaire based upon an organization's security habits and procedures. Launched in October 2020, Strike Graph was built to help companies successfully pass their cybersecurity audit. Strike Graph customers can scope the correct size audit, adjust controls, and complete and maintain a security certification with an internationally recognized auditor. For each security questionnaire, Strike Graph produces a unique security report that provides the answer for each question and a verification of the security activity to support the answer.

Lattice Semiconductor

Lattice Semiconductor announced that the Lattice Sentry solutions stack and the Lattice SupplyGuard supply chain security service won the 2021 Cyber Security Global Excellence Awards ‘New Product-Service of the Year' Gold Award in the Security Hybrid category. Presented by The Globee Awards, these annual awards recognize outstanding achievements and performances by cyber security and information technology vendors. Lattice Semiconductor is headquartered in Hillsboro.

Maryhill Museum

The Maryhill Museum of Art's annual fundraising event is going online this year, with Postcards from Maryhill slated for Saturday, March 20 at 6 p.m. Maryhill was closed most of last season and annual fall auction was canceled. The event will offer a look at what's new at Maryhill, testimonials from artists and supporters, as well as an opportunity to win several giveaways. The event is free to attend. S!NG

S!NG, a developer of tools that allow creators to control distribution and monetize their work, launched a free mobile application designed to instantly mint NFTs to sell or license online. NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, allow artists to create originals of their work, while protecting intellectual property. Creators will have the ability to monetize directly with fans. S!NG was co-founded by Jim Harmon and Geoff Osler, a veteran of Apple and Adobe, with input from musicians, visual artists, and entertainment industry executives. The S!NG App is powered by the Ethereum blockchain, a technology that time stamps and verifies original ownership of a file, even after it's been shared.

Albertsons

Boise-based Albertsons has partnered with Tortoise, an automated logistics company focused on last-mile solutions, to pilot its remote-controlled zero-emission delivery cart in Northern California. The Safeway cart, powered by Tortoise, is equipped with a camera and a speaker and is guided through the neighborhood by a remote operator. The cart can hold up to 120 pounds of groceries in four lockable containers for a contactless delivery experience. When the cart arrives at a home, the customer receives a text to come outside and pick up their groceries. The carts are powered 100% by an electric battery. Currently, the service is open for testing with Safeway associates in select Northern California neighborhoods. In these early stages, an escort will accompany the cart as part of the pilot process.

Banzai

Seattle-based Banzai, a provider of marketing automation solutions through webinars and events, announced the successful closing of $15 million in venture debt funding. The funding was led by Columbia Pacific Advisors and will enable Banzai to expand its marketing platform. In the past six months, Banzai has expanded its virtual event and webinar solutions through acquisition of virtual event platform High Attendance and browser-based webinar solution Demio. As part of this transaction, Banzai welcomes Gaingels, a venture syndicate focused on supporting companies in building cultures of diversity and inclusion.

Amazon Web Services

The PGA TOUR has selected Amazon Web Services as the Official Cloud Provider of the TOUR. With this agreement, AWS becomes the Official Cloud Provider, Artificial Intelligence Cloud Provider, Deep Learning Cloud Provider, and Machine Learning Cloud Provider of the TOUR. The TOUR will also use AWS Media Services to make it faster to deliver video content for televised event coverage and OTT streaming for online viewers. Using AWS Media Services, the TOUR will make tournament footage available globally to authenticated broadcasters, content subscribers from AWS, and other sources. As part of the partnership, AWS will become a Trustee of First Tee, a youth development organization supported by the TOUR that reaches more than 3.7 million young people across the United States and select international locations each year. AWS will assist the organization in developing an online community for coaches, parents, and participants where they can access the First Tee curriculum and resources and connect with peers in the program.

Kymeta

Kymeta announced a new premier training partnership with Blue Edge Global, a privately owned and operated, certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The partnership is designed to provide instructor-led responsive training solutions for land, air, sea, and space domains where uninterrupted communications are required to enable high risk missions, first responder arrive-ready solutions and where natural or other disasters require immediate logistical support. Together, Kymeta and Blue Edge Global will offer downrange training with a team of military SATCOM specialists to the Department of Defense, Ministry of Defense and Emergency Services teams globally. Kymeta is a privately held company based in Redmond.
