Seattle-based Vouched, a developer of AI-powered real-time identity verification, named Marita Scarfi as CFO and chief business operations officer, and Ryan Patterson as vice president of sales. Scarfi has two decades of global finance and operations experience, from early-stage companies to mature organizations. Prior to joining Vouched, she spent five years as CFO at emerging technology companies MeasureOne and PebblePost. Patterson has 15 years of sales and customer success experience at various high-growth Silicon Valley startups ranging from automotive finance to banking to health care. He previously was director of business development at Australian computer vision startup TrademarkVision.
The Tacoma Housing Authority board selected April Black as the organization's executive director. Black has worked at THA for 12 years, serving as deputy executive director for the past six years and interim executive director for the past few months. She is the first woman to lead THA in its 81-year-history. She replaces Michael Mirra, who retired several months ago.
Tacoma Venues & Events selected ASM Global as its management partner for the Pantages Theater (and adjoining Jones Building), the Rialto Theater and the Theatre on the Square. The 10-year partnership agreement includes responsibility for daily operations, maintenance and preservation, financial accountability, community sustainability, and active and diverse programming. All three theaters are owned by the city of Tacoma. ASM is a leading producer of entertainment experiences, venue management and event strategy, serving over 300 venues worldwide.

Marten Law added Ana Nina to its Seattle office and Lawson Fite to its Portland office. The firm also announced that it is expanding on the East Coast, with the addition of James Pollack in Boston and Jack Lyman in Washington, D.C. Nina is an associate and holds a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law. She worked for many years as an environmental lawyer in Brazil, and taught law in the U.S. and Brazil. At Marten, she counsels clients in business transactions and regulatory enforcement matters. Fite is a partner and co-chairs the firm's natural resources practice. He has over 15 years of experience working in private practice and for several years was chief counsel of a timber trade association. He earned his J.D. at Harvard Law School.
In Seattle, Villa Academy selected Liz Willis as its new head of school. In addition to over 20 years of experience in education, Willis has a bachelor's degree in biology and history from Loyola Marymount University and master's and doctorate degrees in American history from the University of Southern California. She currently is associate head of school and interim upper school director at the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova, Pennsylvania. Willis will succeed Julie Thenell Grasseschi, interim head of school, on July 1, 2022. Founded in 1903 by St. Frances Cabrini, Villa Academy has a full-time teaching and faculty staff of 72, serving more than 360 students in pre-K through eighth grade. It is located in the Laurelhurst neighborhood.

In Seattle, Leafly Holdings hired Kimberly Boler as its new general counsel, leading the company's regulatory, legal and compliance function, as well as heading up policy and government relations. Boler has over 20 years of experience advising public and private consumer-facing companies in highly regulated industries, including American International Group and Aria Energy. She most recently was vice president of corporate law at Patriarch Partners. Leafly is a cannabis technology company.

Bellevue-based Auth0, a provider of identity-as-a-service authentication infrastructure, hired Bhawna Singh as senior vice president of engineering. Singh has over 20 years of engineering and technology leadership experience. Singh comes from Glassdoor, where she held senior engineering and technology roles, and oversaw the company's websites and mobile platforms, in addition to its software engineering, data platform and machine learning teams.

Pacific Program Management added two new positions to its senior leadership team: Deb Hamm is vice president of people, culture and operations; and Ron Houghtaling is vice president and senior director of marketing and communications. Hamm has created workforces in rapid builds, integrations, acquisitions, mergers and high-volume recruiting at companies including Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits, Colliers International and JPMorgan Chase. Prior to joining PPM, she ran her own consulting practice and has over 25 years of business experience. Houghtaling comes from Marcus & Millichap, where he led the corporate marketing team as vice president in support of over 2,200 brokers and agents. He also spent 17 years with CBRE in a variety of design, branding and marketing leadership roles. Hamm is working at the Seattle headquarters while Houghtaling is based in Los Angeles. Additionally, PPM announced the launch of a dedicated Life Sciences Practice, its first industry-focused team that follows growth over the past two years into key markets in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. This practice is led by Annette Walter, who has over 30 years of experience in design, laboratory space planning, project management and move management. She joined PPM in 2017 from Stanford University School of Medicine, where she was project manager of facilities construction. PPM is a commercial real estate program and project management firm with teams across North America.
Dr. Dino Rech is the new CEO at Seattle-based Audere. Rech is a global health leader, published researcher and ER physician with knowledge of how technology can both help and hinder clinical workflows. He replaces Audere founder Philip Su, who remains as an advisor. Rech was group director and regional chief operating officer of The Aurum Institute, where he managed the organization's business development team and led one of the largest HIV care and treatment programs in South Africa. Rech also was founder and CEO of the Centre for HIV and AIDS Prevention Studies, which reached over 500,000 people with lifesaving HIV prevention, education, testing and surgeries during his tenure at the organization. Audere is a digital health nonprofit developing solutions to improve global health in underserved communities. It is funded by grants from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Justworks.
Urbanova's board of directors is launching a search for its next CEO to succeed Kim Zentz, who will step out of the role in November. Urbanova selected executive search firm Herd Freed Hartz to conduct the recruitment. The chief executive officer, who reports to and is a member of the board of directors, has responsibility and accountability for managing and accelerating Urbanova's strategic, programmatic and financial/operational activities. The CEO also is responsible for recruiting, managing and supporting senior staff; and helping them to align and execute priorities. Headquartered in Spokane and incorporated in 2016, Urbanova is an urban innovation partnership focused on driving equitable solutions for midsize cities.
