SuperMall

Tracey Gillies has been named special events and promotions manager for SuperMall of the Great Northwest. Her responsibilities will include sponsorship solicitation, media promotions, community relations, fund-raising activities and seasonal event work throughout the year. SuperMall of the Great Northwest is located midway between Seattle and Tacoma.

Wells Fargo Bank

Wells Fargo Bank has appointed senior vice president Don Hartmann as the new manager for its Puget Sound regional commercial banking office in Seattle. Hartmann joined Wells Fargo in 1995 as manager of its Southern California corporate banking group in Los Angeles.

Family Business of the Year

A call for nominations is being made for the 1996 Washington Family Business of the Year Awards. The purpose of the awards is to recognize and honor the best in family business, educate family business leaders in changing issues related to family enterprise, help preserve and promote family enterprise within the Pacific Northwest, and encourage family business owners to preserve their history and plan for the future. Nominations will be accepted until Aug. 20. The award ceremony will be held Nov. 1 at the Bell Harbor Conference Center in Seattle. Advanced Digital Information Corp. (ADIC), a division of Interpoint Corp., has hired Barry Hyman as the new director of mid-range library systems. ADIC is the largest division of Interpoint with its headquarters in Redmond. ADIC is the leading drive-independent supplier of automated tape storage libraries for client-server networks.

Axium Payroll Services

Beaverton-based CPA Systems Payroll Services has changed its name to Axium Payroll Service. The transition reflects the business growth CPA has experienced and the company's expansion in services and software products. Since its spin-off from Timberline Software in 1993, the company has continued to add staff to service its growing list of payroll services customers.

InControl, Inc.

InControl, Inc. has named Gregory Ayers, M.D., Ph. D. as vice president of clinical research. Ayers will continue to develop and manage studies designed to assess patients treated with InControl's Metrix implantable atrial defibrillator and will be more directly involved in the world-wide clinical evaluation and assessment of the Metrix System. Based in Redmond, InContol develops new therapies for atrial rhythm management and is working with medical researchers worldwide to advance the treatment of atrial fibrillation.

Hunt Marketing Group (HMG) has been hired by WRQ, Seattle-based developer of Reflection software, as its direct marketing agency of record. HMG's account team for WRQ includes John Livengood, management representative; Jeff Spagnola, creative director; Pat Beal, associate creative director; Margaret Holcombe, account supervisor; and Jill Basch, account executive. With offices in Seattle and Phoenix, HMG offers its clients strategic planning, creative development and production management of direct marketing campaigns.

A new Stuart Anderson's Black Angus Restaurant has opened in Puyallup. The restaurant is located at 203 35th Avenue SE, across from South Hill Mall. Stuart Anderson's Restaurant's is the award-winning company founded in Seattle in the early 1960's. The company operates 96 restaurants in the western and mid-western United States.
