Steve Frazier and Brett Thomas have joined Northwest Cable Advertising as sales representatives. Frazier will work in the Tacoma office and be responsible for retail sales and advertising agency accounts. Thomas will work in the Seattle office on retail advertising accounts.
Metawave Communications has promoted Mark Johnson to vice president of operations. Previously he was director of operations. Headquartered in Redmond, Metawave designs, manufactures and markets multibeam antenna systems and engineering services that enable wireless communications service providers to optimize call quality, coverage and capacity.
John Swenson has become the new vice president of investor relations at Kaufer Miller Communications, Bellevue. Swenson has 14 years experience in investor relations and public relations. Previously, he was managing director of Swenson/Falker Associates Inc., an investor relations counseling firm based in Minneapolis. Kaufer Miller provides public relations, investor relations and marketing for emerging consumer and business technologies.
In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the campaign to save the Pike Place Market from urban renewal, and the 89th anniversary of the Market's first day of business, Starbucks Coffee and the Market Foundation will host Sunset Supper at the Market on Friday, Aug. 16 from 7:30 p.m. until midnight. The first annual event will feature restaurants serving salads, bite-sized entrees and desserts as well as live blues entertainment by the Marc Seales Trio and the Rich Dangel Band. Tickets are $50 per person and are available by calling the Market Foundation at 682-7453. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Market Foundation's Care for the Market capital campaign.
David Kaplan is joining Olympic Capital Partners, Seattle, as an associate. He will be responsible for managing research activities, performing due diligence activities and coordinating regulatory matters. Olympic provides financial advisory and intermediary services, with an emphasis on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and recapitalizations.
Alaska Dive Boat, Inc. has ordered the third in a series of catamaran "dive" boats from Nichols Brothers Boat Builders, Inc. on Whidbey Island. The vessel is expected to be delivered in early 1997 and will be based at Live/Dive Pacific, a new Aggressor Fleet, Ltd. franchise, in the Fiji Islands. The Aggressor Fleet, Ltd., headquarterd in Morgan City, La., books charters primarily in the Caribbean and South Pacific Areas.

First American Properties, Inc. has become a member of the Retail Brokers Network. Steve Ruggiero, president of First American Properties, said clients have included OfficeMax, PETsMart, General Nutrition Centers, Great Clips, Al's Auto Supply and several others.
CB Commercial Real Estate Group has announced the promotion of John Gilliland to associate. Gilliland has been with CB Commercial for one and a half years, specializing in industrial sales and leasing in the Tukwila office. Gilliland joined CB Commercial Real Estate Group in February 1995.
