EcoSupplies has hired Karen Mulhern as Eastern regional account executive, and Larry Marriot as production manager. Both appointments reflect the rapid growth the company has experienced since its start in 1993. Mulhern will work from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pacific Time Zone, making it easier for customers in eastern Canada and eastern United State to reach EcoSupplies. Marriot will be responsible for hiring and managing production staff as well as materials and shipping. EcoSupplies, a division of Dynamic Systems Inc., is dedicated to saving customers money and protecting the environment through the remanufacturing of mid-range and high-end laser printer consumables. Their offices are located in Bothell, Wash.
Design Decor Interior Design has won "Seattle Street of Dreams" interior design awards for work on "Fairweather Bluff", one of the custom residences featured in this year's recently-completed event. The Bellevue-based interior design group was spotlighted with top honors in several categories, including best interior merchandising, best master suite and best kitchen. Design Decor principal Mary Jane Lundsgaard collaborated with builder Encore Design/Build on the home. With offices in Bellevue and Bloomington, Minn., Design Decor provides interior design, model home merchandising and sales center development to a nationwide clientele of residential builders, developers and individuals.
Kerry Sturgill has joined the firm of MWW/Savitt as senior account executive. Sturgill will be responsible for formulating strategic communications plans and proposals for new business, as well as conduct crisis management as needed. She will augment and develop corporate positioning and media relations programs for such established clients as Stoel Rives and ConnexT. MWW/Savitt provides a breadth of services for its clients, including media relations, strategic communications, product introductions, corporate positioning, advertising, web page and graphic design. The firm's parent company, MWW/Strategic Communications, Inc., is headquartered in East Rutherford, NJ. Locally, MWW/Savitt's offices are in downtown Seattle.
Cascade Community Bank is moving its Kent branch to a more convenient location downtown at the corner of West Meeker and 4th Avenue North. The building is the former home of West One Bank. The new site will provide Cascade with the flexibility it needs to enhance current services. With its main office in Auburn, Cascade operates branches in Kent and South Auburn.
Andersen Consulting has promoted four managers in the Seattle office to associate partners. The new associates are Montgomery Hong, Dean Olmstead, Thomas Carroll and Karl Watkins. Andersen Consulting is a $4.22 billion global management and technology consulting organization whose mission is to help its clients change to be more successful. The organization works with clients from a wide range of industries to link their people, processes and technologies to their strategies.

The Frye Art Museum has recently hired four new staff members and promoted one to handle increased activity levels at the expanded museum currently under construction. Raymond Cox has been hired as manager of cafe and catering. He will develop both cafe and catering operations for the expanded museum. Tori Smith has been designated as the new museum educator. She will assist with the development of school tour and interpretive programs for the museum. Ann Jespersen is the new collections manager. She will oversee a major conservation and cataloging project on the Frye permanent collection. Margaret Plumley joins the museum as membership associate. She will be responsible for creating and managing Frye's first membership program. Former research assistant, Kimsey Sorenson has been promoted to assistant collections manager. She will be in charge of research and a major project to conserve the frames of paintings in the Frye collection. The Frye Art Museum is in the process of completing a $12 million renovation and expansion. Once open in February 1997, the new facility will provide the region with a revitalized art museum offering education programs and cultural events. The expanded facility will include a cafe, a museum store, an auditorium, art classrooms, and renovated gallery spaces.
Life Care Centers of America has recently added three new employees to its staff. Gail Strand has been named director of managed care for the company's Northwest Division. She will develop managed care contracts for Life Care facilities in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Patricia Sautter has also been hired to the company's Northwest Division as director of clinical services. Sautter will coordinate and oversee training and support for nursing management in 34 facilities in Idaho, Washington and Oregon. Al Cortez has been appointed vice president of the company's Evergreen Region. He will oversee operations for four nursing facilities and one retirement center in Oregon and two nursing facilities in Washington. Life Care Centers of America is one of the largest nursing and retirement center management companies in the nation. Headquartered in Cleveland, Tenn., Life Care operates 192 nursing and retirement centers in 28 states.
Kells Government Micro, Inc. has hired Craig Simpson as director of operations and Kristi Monroe as senior sales representative. Kells specializes in providing internetworking and microcomputer equipment to federal, state and local government agencies.
The Puget Sound Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) has announced that six members recently passed their accreditation exams and now hold the title of "APR", Accredited in Public Relations. The new APR's include Michelle Barry, KCTS/9; Randy Hurlow, Virginia Mason Medical Center; Lisa Gae Jones, MWW/Savitt, Inc.; Mary Kelley, Continental Savings Bank; Dashiel Wham, Wilmer Communications Group; and Deanna Zachrisson, Puget Sound Air Pollution Control Agency. PRSA's accreditation program is a voluntary certification program to recognize those who have demonstrated broad knowledge, experience and professional judgment in the field. The APR classes and exams are given twice each year to professionals with at least five years of experience in the paid professional practice of public relations.
ProVideo Productions has recently completed the projects including the video documentation of Harborview Hospital construction for Kaplan/McLaughlin/Diaz, Inc.; a cancer research inter-cellular time lapse animated video for Dr. Sigrid Myrdal at Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical Research Institute in Seattle; a corporate identification and recruiting video for Qpoint Home Mortgage Loans; and a marketing/fund raising video for Rotary's Operation First Harvest, a nonprofit agency that gathers surplus food to distribute to area food banks. Located in Seattle, ProVideo produces video programs ranging from one-camera documentation to major training and sales videos and broadcast-level productions.
