First Heritage Bank

First Heritage Bank has made the following promotions. Tom Johnson has been promoted to vice president. Johnson previously was the Arlington Branch manager and was head of the bank's mortgage lending department. Nicki Axtman and Dori Lowell have both been promoted to assistant vice presidents. Axtman was the commercial loan officer at the Snohomish branch. Lowell was the banks compliance officer. First Heritage Bank is an independent, locally-owned community bank specializing in small business financing. Branches are located in Snohomish, Monroe, Marysville, and Arlington.

Deborah Harper has been appointed by Virginia Mason Medical Center as director of development at Bailey-Boushay House. Previously, Harper worked as a senior consultant at Ray K. Robinson, Inc. Located in Seattle, the Bailey-Boushay House is a nursing residence and day health center for people living with AIDS.

KNCF/Dave

Seattle-based KNCF/Dave has hired Erica Verstegen and Rachel Drake to work on public relations, advertising account service and business development at the agency. Verstegen formerly was manager of public affairs and marketing communications at AT & T Wireless. Drake was the former assistant press secretary to U.S. Senator Patty Murray.

Claudia Foster, M.D. has joined Stevens Family Practice as a family practice physician. She brings a wide range of medical expertise to the clinic, including pediatric, sports medicine, and adult and geriatric care. Stevens Family Practice, formerly CliniCare, is located at 827-B, 128th Street SW in Everett. It is a Stevens PrimeCare Clinic, which is a network of community-based primary care providers serving the north Puget Sound region.

Teresa McGovern has rejoined the EvansGroup as an account supervisor. Her primary assignment will be to supervise the Bank of America/Seafirst account team. The EvansGroup is part of an eight-office network based in Salt Lake City and is Seattle's largest marketing communications agency.

Robert Guite has joined the Seattle office of the law firm of Lane Powell Spears Lubersky LLP as an associate. He will concentrate his practice in product and premises liability.

Seafirst will be introducing a new counseling service that offers high net worth individuals independent and objective financial planning. Seafirst has acquired the Seattle-based CPA firm Robert Haynie & Co. to develop the new service. Robert Haynie has been named managing director of Seafirst Financial Planning Services. The new service will be fee based. Each client will receive a comprehensive, personalized analysis and action plan covering financial position, cash flow, insurance, investment recommendations, tax planning, retirement planning, educational funding plans for dependents and estate planning.

South Seas Steamship Co.

South Seas Steamship Co., Ltd. has relocate its main office to San Francisco. Its multipurpose vessels handle dry, refrigerated, break bulk and heavylift cargo between North America and the South Pacific Islands. South Seas currently calls the Pacific Islands direct from Seattle, Coos Bay, Ore.; the San Francisco Bay Area and Long Beach, Calif.

Boston Market

BC Northwest, L.P., the area-developer of Boston Market restaurants in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, is now marketing Boston Market's home-style box lunches for groups, according to Dennis Mullen, president and CEO of the Bellevue-based developer. Nine Puget Sound-area Boston Market restauants have started serving boxed lunches for $7.95 each. They are available only for group purchases. BC Northwest plans to triple the number of Boston Markets it operates in the Northwest from 41 to 147 in the next five years.
