Columbia Bank has opened a new King County branch at the corner of Bellevue Way and NE 10th Street in downtown Bellevue. This is the company's second location on the Eastside, and the 17th branch in the system. Columbia Bank will open another new branch next month in Kent/Auburn, and plans to build a full-service branch facility in the Westgate area of North Tacoma over the next 12 months.
Poulsbo-based Pope Resources has elected Meredith Green as treasurer/controller, and has appointed Marsha Alexander director of human resources. Pope Resources owns and manages tree farms and residential developments around Puget Sound.
Kevin Britz has joined the High Desert Museum in Bend, Ore., as the new director of exhibits and design. Britz will oversee production, design and conceptualization of all permanent, traveling and changing exhibits.
The Seattle public relations firm MWW/Savitt has hired Julie Quattro as vice president of the technology division. Quattro will manage all aspects of the company's high-tech practice group, as well as develop and augment high technology and integrated multi-media marketing communications programs for established clients.
Seattle-based Kip Toner Benefit Auctions announced Kip Toner has been selected as auctioneer for three Washington, D.C. private school auctions. He is also scheduled for COMPAS (Combined Metropolitan Phoenix Arts and Sciences) located in Phoenix. Toner has been a benefit auctioneer since 1971. He formed his own company six years ago, serving only benefit auctions.

Volunteers from the Washington State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division in cooperation with the Federal Emergency Management Act (FEMA) and the Young Lawyers Division on the American Bar Association are providing free legal services to people affected by the winter storms, flooding and mudslides that began last December.
