Stoel Rives

Scott Fredericksen, David Levant and Barbara Sherland have been named partners at the Seattle law firm of Stoel Rives LLP. Fredericksen practices in the areas of white collar criminal law, labor and employment law, and general civil litigation. Levant represents clients in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases, receiverships, and creditors' rights litigation. Sherland practices in the estate planning and probate areas.

Piper Jaffray

James McColley, branch manager of the Seattle office of Piper Jaffray, has been named Washington regional director for Individual Investor Services. McColley will be responsible for 12 offices in Washington.

InfoSpace

InfoSpace, Inc. announced its acquisition of YPI.Net, a product of Banana Pages. The acquisition is part of InfoSpace's nationwide consortium of independent yellow pages publishers and advertising on the Internet. Yellow pages publishers, like Banana Pages, Sunshine Pages and Advantage Pages, plus over 35 newspapers around the country, are connected to the Internet via InfoSpace.

Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo recently donated funds to six local community groups. Wells Fargo focuses its contributions in three areas: affordable housing and economic development, kindergarten through Grade 12 education, and social services for diverse and under-served populations. The six groups include: Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC), $100,000; Cascadia Revolving Fund, $30,000; Seattle Housing Authority associated with Holly Park's youth arts work program, $25,000; Southeast Effective Development (SEED), $10,000; Neighborhood House, $10,000; Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS), $10,000.

PortaBox Storage

PortaBox Storage, Inc., a portable self-storage container supplier, announced the opening of their new facility located in Woodinville.

Yarrow Bay Beach Cafe

Cameon Orel has been appointed chef at the Yarrow Bay Beach Cafe. Lisa Becklund has been appointed banquet and catering chef of Yarrow Bay Grill and Beach Cafe Catering.

The Retail Group

The Retail Group, a Seattle-based retail design and consulting firm, has been hired by Calla Bay to name and develop a new retail concept for its custom-made swim wear. In addition, The Retail Group had just finished creating a new label design and image for Columbia Winery in Woodinville.

Charles Huber has been elected partner at the Seattle law firm of Lane Powell Spears Lubersky. Huber focuses his practice on insurance coverage and premises liability litigation.

Coinstar

Former Seattle Deputy Mayor, Carol Lewis has joined Coinstar, Inc. as national director of philanthropic services, the newest business venture for the Bellevue-based company. Coinstar's new Philanthropic Services Division plan is to assist local, regional and national nonprofit organizations in collecting donations through using Coinstar's unique coin counting machines.

Peter Pan Seafoods

Peter Pan Seafoods Inc. announced that Barry Collier has been appointed to succeed William Saletic as president and CEO of the company, effective April 1. Based in Seattle, Peter Pan Seafoods operated seafood processing plants in King Cove, Dillingham, Port Moller and Valdez, Alaska, a secondary processing plant in Algona, Wash., and a Seattle plant where analog products under the named SeaBlends brand are produced.

Bureau of Reclamation

James Cole, area manager for the Upper Columbia Area office, is retiring from the Bureau of Reclamation after 31 years of federal service.

SelfServe USA

SelfServe USA, a subsidiary of Commerce Direct International, Inc. and providers of the SelfServe solution, has hired David Collings as senior vice president of product management.
