Alaska Airlines has promoted William Ayer to senior vice president of customer service, marketing and planning, and John Fowler to senior vice president of technical operations.
Moss & Company, a Bainbridge Island recruiting service, has added Kirsten Jennings as a recruiter to the firm.
Richard Wechsler has been named president of BHP Coated Steel Corp. Based in Kalama, BHP Coated Steel is a subsidiary of BHP Steel, a company involved in the production and marketing of metallic and organic coated steel. Wechsler previously was general manager of BHP's Pacific Northwest Project, responsible for building its new $221 million steel finishing facility in Kalama. In his new assignment, Wechsler will be responsible for operation of the new project, as well as for operating a sister plant in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
The Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance board of directors announced that Will Lutgen Jr. will serve as the organization's first executive director. Lutgen has over 20 years of experience managing similar organizations, most recently with the Electric League of the Pacific Northwest and the Utility Code Group based in Bellevue. The Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the efficient use of electricity and reducing the cost of energy-efficient products and services. It is funded by the Pacific Northwest investor-owned utilities and the Bonneville Power Administration on behalf of its customers.
Chuck Meyer, vice president for Transmission Marketing at the Bonneville Power Administration, announced the selection of five new customer account executives to promote transmission business: Sue Furst, Sally Long, Al Paschke, Tony Rodrigues and Joe Rogers. Long will serve central Washington utilities, and utilities, power brokers and marketers outside of the Pacific Northwest. She has been on of BPA's experts on transmission tariffs and wheeling.
Family Services of King County has added Mary Schlimgen and Cecelia Porto to its board of directors. Schlimgen is a systems manager in the Information Systems Department for Safeco Insurance Companies. Porto is a marketing programs manager for Janet Church and Associates, Inc. (JCA). Family Services is a United Way Agency that offers counseling and support for families during difficult emotional times.

Tom Wood has been named regional medical director for primary care at Pacific Medical Clinics (PMC). He will provide administrative medical leadership at the PMC clinic the central region which include PMC-Beacon Hill and PMC-1101 Madison, which will open at the end of April.
Tippett Marine Services (TMS), a Seattle shipyard and hydraulics service company, has been certified by the State of Washington's Office of Minority and Women's Business Enterprises. Additionally, TMS has promoted Dan Wakefield to be in charge of the company's outside sales.
RCH Technical Institute announced the successful completion of a pilot project between RCH, the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) and Washington State Employment Security (ES) called QuickSteps: Customer Service. The project took JOBS Program participants and put them through an intense 8-week job training course that focused on skill building, self esteem, and goal setting. The project was part of a collective effort to help with the transition of welfare recipients to work.
