George Walker has been named to the ownership group of Perry, Shelton & Associates. The Bellevue accounting firm will now operate under the name of Perry, Shelton, Walker & Associates.
John Lombardo has been named general manager of the Salishan Lodge in Gleneden Beach, Ore. The lodge is owned by The Yarmouth Group and managed by Dolce International.
Nancy Pearl, executive director of the Washington Center for the Book at the Seattle Public Library, has been named winner of the 1997 Pacific Northwest Writers Conference's Open Book Award.
The Fannie Mae Foundation has named Larry Taylor, deputy director of the Department of Housing and Human Services for the City of Seattle, as one of 25 community leaders from around the country chosen as a 1997 Fannie Mae Foundation Fellow for the Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. The Fellowship program offers an intensive, three-week experience designed to prepare participants for increased responsibilities, stimulate interest in new management ideas and techniques, and develop relationships among public-sector colleagues across the country.

Audra Roberts has joined the sales and marketing team at Washington Hills Cellars, one of the state's oldest and largest wineries. She will be involved in all aspects of sales and marketing, with a special emphasis initially on supporting Puget Sound area restaurant and wine shops that carry the wineries three brands of wine, Washington Hills, W.B. Bridgman and Apex.
David Vogel has been named multimedia account executive for Chase Bobko, a Seattle information design company. Vogel will head the company's sales within Microsoft and other high technology companies who have data intensive Web sites. George Hein and Catherine Hunter have been named director and assistant director, respectively, at Virginia Mason Medical Center's Marketing Resources and Communications Department.
Parker LePla, a Seattle-based brand development and public relations firm, announced that it will partner with Vixel Corporation to provide both brand development strategies and public relations services. Vixel's high-speed storage interconnect solutions provide customers with a solution to running data warehousing applications that require large bandwidth, such as CAD/CAM, real-time medical analysis and full motion video.
DyceFriend Sports, a division of DyceFriend, a sports, entertainment and retail/events marketing and promotions company has added George Karl, head of the Seattle Sonics, to its list of clients. DyceFriend Sports will provide services including the publicity of his new book, "This Game's the Best", and marketing and promotions for the First Annual George Karl Celebrity Roast and Skins game on Sept. 5 at the Museum of Flight. DyceFriend will also provide marketing coordination for a proposed Martin Luther King Day high school basketball tournament in 1998 and general support of Karl's foundation, Friends of Hoop.
Robin Trenbeath, director of two Snohomish County departments - Information Services and General Services - is retiring effective July 31. Trenbeath has served in the public sector for 30 years. Interim directors for both departments will be appointed while the County conducts a search for Trenbeath's replacement.
