Evergreen Community Development Association

Elizabeth Wagner has been promoted to senior loan officer for the Intermediary Relending Program at Evergreen Community Development Association. Wagner formerly served as a credit analyst. The program provides loans to businesses in rural areas and small towns of Washington and Oregon. Suzanne Schreiber was recently hired as a new loan officer. Schreiber formerly served as a marketing and sales director for Business Finance Corp. in Bellevue.

Pacific Northwest Golf Association

The Pacific Northwest Golf Association recently chose Williams, Kastner & Gibbs' Tacoma attorneyBill Mays as a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award. Mays is being recognized as a leader in the amateur golf movement in the Northwest and has served as president of the association.

Stellar International Holdings

Paul B. Taylor recently joined Stellar International Holdings as vice president of business development. Taylor formerly handled real estate acquisition duties for ABN AMRO, a Dutch banking group, in its Chicago offices. Stellar International Holdings is a Seattle-based real estate investment and development firm.

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

Gary Spanner has been named manager of the Economic Development Office at the Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland. Spanner formerly served as manager of the lab's Office of Small Business Programs. Spanner succeeds Mike Schwenk, who continues to serve as the director for economic development, communications and education.

Swedish Medical Center

Swedish Medical Center recently named Nancy J. Auer vice president for medical affairs. Auer is an emergency medicine specialist who recently completed a two-year stint as the medical center's chief of staff.

DeLaunay/Phillips

DeLaunay/Phillips Communications, a Seattle-based public affairs and marketing communications firm, recently hired David Frei as vice president, with responsibilities for account supervision, media relations and new business development. Frei formerly held public relations positions with the Denver Broncos and the San Francisco 49ers.

InterWest Bank

InterWest Bank, a subsidiary of Oak Harbor-based InterWest Bancorp Inc., has launched an online bank, InterWest Online. The banking service will pilot the TransPoint Internet bill delivery and payment system, enabling customers to receive and pay bills electronically.

Hornall Anderson Design Works

Chris Sallquist and John Anicker have recently been named principals for Hornall Anderson Design Works, a Seattle-based graphic design firm. Sallquist formerly served as executive producer and a founding member of Vivo Media in Portland. Anicker has been a design team member with Hornall Anderson since 1992.

Schwartz Brothers Catering

Shelby Varden was recently named general manager of Schwartz Brothers Catering. Varden formerly served as general manager of The Atrium Catering. Schwartz Brothers Catering was recently formed by the merger between Gretchen's Of Course and The Atrium Catering, both divisions of Seattle-based Schwartz Brothers Restaurants.

Anne Marie Peacock has joined Vander Houwen Public Relations in Bellevue as an intern. Peacock will be interning through June.

John D. Warner, senior vice president and chief administrative officer of The Boeing Co., has been appointed to Western Washington University's board of trustees. Warner replaces Charlie Earl, who recently resigned after being named Everett Community College president.

Trans-Ocean Products

Trans-Ocean Products, a Bellingham-based seafood processor, recently named Murray Brokerage of Toledo, Ohio, the 1998 Broker of the Year. Murray's territory includes Northwestern Ohio, Northern Indiana and Southwestern Michigan.
