The Rockey Co., a public relations and public affairs consulting firm, has named Erica Perez vice president of its Seattle office. Perez, formerly a senior account executive at The Rockey Co., will expand her leadership by serving the firm's technology, consumer marketing, media relations and corporate communications capabilities.
Investment veteran and football commentator Chuck Nelson has joined Rigel Capital Management, a Seattle-based investment management company. Nelson has nine years of experience as a licensed investment professional with Dain Rauscher in both its Seattle and Everett offices.
James Kelly, president and CEO of the Urban League and John Warner, senior vice president and chief administrative officer of The Boeing Co., joined together in announcing the contribution to the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle of $15,000 from The Boeing Co. The Urban League will use the funds in support of employment programs designed to assist families so that mothers and fathers can learn new skills.
1-800-Flowers.com, an online retailer of gifts announced the acquisition of Seattle-based GreatFood.com, an online retailer of specialty and gourmet food products, for $18.5 million in cash.
