Miller Nash, a Seattle-based law firm, announced the addition of three new attorneys. Lance A. Termes, joins the firm as an associate and will concentrate his practice on intellectual property. Shawna M. Sweeney joins the firm as an associate to practice in the areas of real estate, creditor's rights and insolvency. Christine A. Marty joins as an associate to focus her practice on general litigation matters.
Moore & Associates, a Bellevue-based organizational consulting firm, announced the addition of two senior members to its consulting services group. Norman J. Alberg was appointed vice president of consulting services. Prior to joining Moore & Associates, Alberg served as an executive manager for several departments of the City of Seattle. Kimberly Thoreen Bell joins the consulting team as a senior manager. Bell most recently served as a manager for Ernst & Young in Seattle.
Dendreon, a Seattle-based biotechnology company, announced that it has named T. Dennis George to the post of senior vice president corporate affairs and general counsel and appointed corporate secretary. George joins the company following a 33-year career in a private law practice in Seattle.
The Fearey Group, a Seattle-based public relations company, announced that Scott Janzen, a five-year member of the Fearey Group, has been named president of the agency. Scott Selby, formerly manager of corporate communications at Washington Mutual, has been promoted to vice president. Pat Fearey will continue to serve as chief executive officer.
The Traver Co. a Seattle-based graphic design and marketing firm, announced the promotion of Margo Sepanski to the role of principal. Sepanski has been with the Traver Co. since 1995 and has served as lead designer on several projects including Safeco, Westin Hotels and Seattle Cinerama's grand re-opening.
Everett Community College Dean of Students Rich Haldi has been named vice president for student services. Haldi has served as dean of students since 1995.
Dr. James C. Steiner has been named associate dean for curriculum and instructional resources for the University of Washington's School of Dentistry. Steiner is a clinical professor in the school's Department of Endodontics. Dr. Timothy A. DeRouen has been named as the School of Dentistry's dean of research. DeRouen is chair and professor of the Department of Dental Public Health Sciences as well as professor of biostatistics in UW School's of Public Health and Community Medicine.
Horizon Broadcasting Group of Bainbridge Island is acquiring KSRV-AM and KSRV-FM in the Boise/Ontario radio market. The transaction is expected to be completed in the late first quarter 2000, pending FCC approval.
