The Silver Company, a public relations firm that works with emerging technology and other early stage companies, announced that it has added Eric Walter and Lisa Bach to the company as account coordinators in its Seattle office. Before joining the company, Walter worked as an account coordinator for KNCB Dave and Bach worked as a client relations specialist with Onsite Commercial Staffing.
The Seattle office of Arthur Andersen, a global professional services firm, has announced the relocation of the firm's Cost Management Competency Center from Dallas to Seattle. The Center is led by Steve Player, worldwide managing partner of the firm's strategic cost management service. Player's move to Seattle will extend the company's reach to clients in China, Japan and the Far East. Player joined Arthur Andersen's audit division in 1981 and helped develop the firm's business consulting practice in the early 1990s. He assumed leadership of the company's strategic cost management line in 1994.
Group Health Cooperative and Franciscan Health System recently renewed one contract and entered into another to provide health care to Group Health members in Pierce County. Group Health contracts for hospital care in Pierce County, and the Franciscan Health System provides all general inpatient and outpatient services as well as maternity and rehabilitation. Through a new contract, Group Health members in Gig Harbor can now receive primary care services from physicians and nurse practitioners at the Franciscan Medical Group's Gig Harbor Medical Clinic.
KNCB Dave, a Seattle-based advertising and PR agency, announced two promotions. Stephanie Wright moves to account supervisor, client services. Heather Butler has been promoted to account executive.
Greg Steiger recently rejoined Dain Rauscher, an investment services firm, in its Silverdale office as an associate vice president/investment executive. Steiger had been working as a regional consultant for the firm for the past two years. He joined the firm as an investment executive in 1996

The Office of the Administrator for the Courts (OAC) has appointed Wendy Ferrell to the position of communications manager. Responsible for the supervision of public information activities for the OAC and Washington Supreme Court, Ferrell was appointed to the position after serving as acting communications manager.
Pacific Legal, a Portland-based litigation support company with an office in Seattle, announced that Tom O’Connor has joined the company as the director of education & training.
