Radiant Communications

Radiant Communications, a Canadian Internet services company serving the business market, has taken its first step into the U.S. market by opening an office in Seattle. Patrick Smith leads the Northwest expansion. He recently served as both director of technology and general manager for Convergent Communications. The office, located at 3500 188th St., S.W., Suite 261, Lynnwood, opened March 15.

National Sign

Gary Sigler has joined National Sign as a sales associate in the Seattle location. Sigler has more than 16 years in the printing industry, developing corporate identity programs, and coordinating print materials with corporate marketing strategy.

Red Lion Hotels

Red Lion Hotels, a Vancouver-based hotel company, has named Marie Malloy, Arthur Sabo and Alex Chopra as directors of franchise development. Sabo is responsible for Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and North and South Dakota. He previously served as director of sales and marketing for the company's Jantzen Beach Hotel from 1988 to 1991.

Golf Savings Bank

Mountlake Terrace-based Golf Savings Bank has named Rob Fuller executive vice president and chief financial officer. Fuller has spent the past 14 years with US Bank of Washington, where he was vice president of Washington corporate banking. Golf Savings Bank became a full-service bank in June 2000 after operating for nearly 20 years as Lynnwood Mortgage Corp., a mortgage lending company.

Associated Grocers

Associated Grocers has signed an agreement to supply grocery items to its largest retail store, Brown & Cole Stores. The retailer-owned cooperative will provide food, general merchandise and services to 35 stores that make up the Brown & Cole regional chain. Based in Bellingham, Brown & Cole has stores concentrated in Central and Western Washington and does business under various trade names including, Food Pavilion, Cost Cutter and Food Depot

Planet 7 Technologies

Planet 7 Technologies, a Bothell-based provider of e-business integration software, announced that it has added three tech executives to its leadership team. Laurent Vernhes joined the company as director of engineering. Most recently, Vernhes led Microsoft's XML services group. Jeffrey Smoll, director of strategic alliances, is responsible for building new business relationships with industry partners and negotiating strategic transactions and agreements. Prior to joining Planet 7 Technologies, Smoll was global alliance manager for Avaya. As director of human resources, Sue Dunn oversees human resources, benefits, payroll, recruiting, facilities management and office management functions.

Pierce County

John Trent, director of public works and utilities for Pierce County, has been selected by the American Public Works Association as one of its Top Ten Public Works Leaders of the Year. Trent is recognized for being instrumental in the initiation, development and implementation of the regional Geographic Information System. He oversaw compliance programs for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits for storm water and wastewater treatment programs and directed development of the Chambers Creek Properties Master Site Plan for long-range development on 950 acres of marine waterfront properties

Parker LePla

Geschke-Sawyer has 12 years of experience in public relations and joined the firm three years ago. Guilbert has 10 years of international marketing experience and was marketing communications manager for a U.K.-based firm prior to joining Parker LePla. Morrison has been with the firm for three years and has more than seven years of marketing and public relations experience.

Spokane International Airport

@newsbrief:Spokane International Airport announced that Big Sky Airlines has moved its ground operations from Gate 21 on Concourse "C" to the Big Sky Airlines counter next to America West in the main terminal building. The change follows an announcement in February of a codeshare between the two airlines. As part of the agreement, America West adds Big Sky Airlines as a partner to its FlightFund frequent flyer program
