CJ Kuan has joined Northwest Hospital as a nephrologist and Terence M. Quigley has joined as a vascular surgeon. Both will practice at the hospital's Northwest Campus and Kuan will have a second location in Edmonds. Kuan was most recently with St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham where he chaired the pharmacy and therapeutics committee. Quigley was previously with the Virginia Mason Medical Clinic where he served as a vascular surgeon and educator. Northwest Hospital is a not-for-profit hospital located in North Seattle.
Jeff Pritchard has earned a Wells Fargo Volunteer Service Award for his efforts with Helmets for Youth. A $1,000 grant in Pritchard's name will be made by Wells Fargo to the organization. Pritchard is one of 111 Wells Fargo employees to receive a Volunteer Service Award this year. Pritchard, a regional institution trust sales manager, founded Helmets for Youth in 1993. The organization has distributed nearly 10,000 helmets to low-income youth in the Seattle area.
The Siefkes Group hired Drew Ryder as senior account manager and Ann Melkessetian as account coordinator. Ryder was most recently with Newport Communications as a senior editor and vice president of editorial. Melkessetian is a recent graduate of the University of Washington and holds a B.A. in communications. The Siefkes Group specializes in business-to-business marketing communications and is based in Issaquah.
A grand opening for Miyi - The Great Australian Bite in Ballard, is scheduled for June 1-9. The restaurant specializes in Australian miyi dinner pies, sandwiches and pavlova dessert at 2320 N.W. Market St. It is co-owned by chef Peter J. Boyle and Jan Gray.
Recent promotions and hires at Columbia Hospitality for the Bell Harbor International Conference Center include Jennifer Hansen, former event planning manager, promoted to sales manager; Kristi-Lynn Brown, previously senior sales manager for the Renaissance Madison in Seattle, was hired as a sales manager; Wayne Lee was hired as accounts payable coordinator; Natasha Jankauskas was promoted to event planning manager; and Wade Nixdorff, formerly regional manager at Eagle Guard Services, was hired as a concierge. At the World Trade Center Seattle, Columbia named Courtney Clouse, previously a concierge at Bell Harbor, as event planning manager. Columbia Hospitality managed properties include: Bell Harbor International Conference Center, World Trade Center Seattle and The Inn at Langley. Kirkland's ImageX was named Eastside Business of the Year by the Bellevue, Washington Chamber of Commerce. Founded in 1995 ImageX provides online solutions for distributing, managing and producing sales and marketing materials.
The Boeing Company named Curt Nohavec chief financial officer for Connexion by Boeing. Nohavec is a 25-year Boeing veteran previously serving as director of finance for the technical services and modifications business within Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Connexion by Boeing brings commercial broadband data services to commercial and executive aircraft during flight.
