Creature, a new Seattle-based advertising agency, has been awarded creative duties for the Professional Bowlers Association and has hired Melissa Peterson as director of account services. Peterson previously oversaw the Nike retail business at Cole & Weber in Portland. Creature, opened earlier this month, is a joint venture of Jim Haven and Matt Peterson. The two previously worked as creative directors at StrawberryFrog in Amsterdam.
The American Guild of Court Videographers certified Liz Latham of Liz Latham Legal Video Services as a certified court videographer. The AGCV is the only organization in the United States training and certifying professional videographers in all phases of legal video.
Irwin Capital Holdings, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, promoted Joe LaLeggia to president. LaLeggia will hold this position in addition to his post as president of Onset Capital. He replaces Michael E. Taft who will retire in July. Irwin Capital operates Irwin Business Finance in Bellevue; Onset Capital in Vancouver, British Columbia; and Irwin Franchise Capital in Purchase, N.Y.
FlightSafetyBoeing Training International named Pat Gaines as the airline training joint venture's president. Gaines served as the unit's executive vice president prior to this appointment and succeeds Gary Scott, who recently resigned. Gaines will be responsible for business performance and day-to-day operations. Gaines was on the executive team that started FlightSafetyBoeing in 1997. It is co-owned by Boeing and FlightSafety International, providing flight training around the world, with 70 full-flight simulators in nine countries.

Thomas A. Lemly, a partner in the Seattle office of Davis Wright Tremaine, has become a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Lemly has practiced employment and labor law with Davis Wright for the past 29 years.
The Washington State Chiropractic Association elected Dr. Doug Long of Tacoma as president of its board of directors. Also elected to the board are: Dr. Timothy Igielsk of SeaTac; Dr. David Gilbertson of Mill Creek; and Dr. Jay Goodwin of Arlington. The 1000-member WSCA is the only statewide association that represents the chiropractic profession in Washington state.
The Walla Walla District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in conjunction with Northwest tribes, selected the Museum of Anthropology at WSU to rehabilitate archaeological collections from the McNary Reservoir. The collections were unearthed, boxed and stored by federal agencies during the building of dams and other federal projects. The museum will receive $98,883 in funding provided through the Payos Kuus Cuukwe Cooperating Group whose members include representatives of the Corps, Bonneville Power Administration, and the Yakama, Colville, Umatilla, Warm Springs, and Nez Perce Tribes and the Wanapum people.
Meg Charter is the new executive director for the Committee for Children. Charter's experience includes senior executive positions for several international companies and she founded a foster-child and parenting-support services organization in Los Angeles. The Committee for Children is based in Pioneer Square and develops violence prevention and child-abuse programs for children.
Christopher Downs and Gabe Goldman have opened General Public, a visual communications firm in Seattle. Downs and Goldman have worked with Seattle firms including Methodologie, The Traver Co., Landor Associates, Ride Snowboards and Cyclone Design. The new firm's Web site is at www.generalpublic.us.
PC Pros named Lynn Slaughter northeast regional sales representative. Previously, Slaughter was government and commercial sales representative for Abbey Camera in Silver Springs, Md. She will be based in Falls Church, Va. PC Pros is located in Lakewood and provides security and encryption for digital assets.
