Performing Arts Center Eastside

Suzanne Hutchinson has been named head of marketing and event planning and Elizabeth Turini has been named an administrative assistant at Bellevue's Performing Arts Center Eastside. Hutchinson, who will be in charge of community outreach and serve as a liaison for fundraising efforts, previously served as the director of marketing for a Bellevue interior design firm and is a founding member of the Bellevue Art Museum. Turini most recently served as an assistant to the events and tourism coordinator and assistant director of marketing at Bellevue Square. They will join Dick Collins who became executive director this year after serving as a consultant to the board of directors. Collins spent several years with IBM, responsible for exhibits and corporate arts/science collections, and was involved in the Seattle and New York worlds fairs. PACE is a nonprofit formed in 2002 to raise funds, design, build and operate a performing arts center.

National Restaurants Association

Budd Gould has been elected to the board of the National Restaurants Association to represent Washington state. Gould is president of Bellevue-based Anthony's Restaurants.

SBA National Advisory Council

Seattle's Lo-Yu Sun has been appointed to the Small Business Administration National Advisory Council. Sun owns several Chinese restaurants in Seattle and other small businesses in Sacramento. The council is made up of 144 members representing industries throughout the nation.

Saint Martin's College

Robert Miller, chair of the Saint Martin's College music department, has been named interim vice president for academic affairs at the Lacey college. He will replace Lillian V. Cady who filled the interim position during the 2002-03 academic year. The college has reopened its search to fill the post.

Integra Telecom

Integra Telecom named Mark Boyce vice president of sales. Boyce will lead sales in the company's Kent and Bellevue offices. Boyce was formerly with Sprint's managed services division. Integra is an integrated communications carrier serving the upper Midwest, Mountain and Pacific Northwest regions.

Inter-Tribal Fish Commission

Olney Patt Jr. was named executive director of the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission. Patt was previously tribal council chairman of the Confederated Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon. He will replace Donald Sampson, who served the last six years in the position. Sampson will become executive director of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.

PhotoWorks

PhotoWorks named Alan Housley vice president of marketing. Housley, with more than 20 years experience in the high technology and digital photo industry, was most recently president of Tangis Corp., and held senior executive positions at Eastman Kodak Co., Hewlett Packard and Picture IQ. PhotoWorks is based in Seattle.

Barokas Martin & Tomlinson

Anna A. Jancewicz and Joaquin M. Hernandez have been named associates and Dennis J. McGlothin has been named a member of the Seattle law firm Barokas Martin & Tomlinson. All three will focus their practice on construction, real estate and commercial litigation.

Mezza Café

Pioneer Human Services is opening a new Mezza Café on the campus of City University in Bellevue. The location will provide meals and catering services to the university and the community. Pioneer Human Services operates Mezza locations at the Starbuck’s Center in Seattle, the Skyline Tower in Bellevue and the Sunset North office in Bellevue. The nonprofit organization provides employment training, housing and rehabilitation services for ex-offenders, recovering substance abusers and troubled youth.

Acordia

John Sacia joined Chicago-based insurance broker Acordia as managing director of its newly formed Northwest area, with responsibility for offices in Seattle and Portland. Sacia most recently ran Sacia Risk Solutions, a company he founded in Seattle, and previously held positions at Sedgwick and Aon Northwest.
