Watermark Credit Union

Watermark Credit Union, a not-for-profit credit union based in Seattle, opened a new branch in Bellevue that replaces a smaller branch formerly located in the Eastgate area. The branch is located in the Kelsey Creek Shopping Center, 15015 Main St.

GiftCertificates.com

GiftCertificates.com, a Seattle-based company that provides gift certificate products and services, hired Kathy Gersch as vice president of business and merchant development. Gersch is the former vice president of finance, strategic planning and marketing at Nordstrom.

Qpass

Qpass, a Seattle-based software company, named Jim Medick vice president of technical operations. Medick, who has more than 20 years of technology experience, will oversee the operations and quality services groups.

Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

The Washington State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce named Rubicela Acosta director. Acosta is the president of Hispanic America Group, a Hispanic consumer marketing consulting firm. The chamber elected Lourdes Sampera to a second term as president.

Lynden International

Lynden International, a division of Seattle-based Lynden Air Freight, appointed Randy Prevette director of European business development. Based in the Atlanta, Prevette will coordinate Lynden's worldwide sales efforts. Lynden also hired Jim Burt as district manager in the Boston office, and Danny Ragar as an account executive in the Dallas office.

Northwest Hospital and Medical Center

Northwest Hospital and Medical Center, a not-for-profit hospital in North Seattle, added Dr. Carol Salerno to the hospital staff as an obstetrician/gynecologist. Her special interests include patient education, high-risk obstetrics, ultrasound, contraception and family planning, cervical dysplasia and gynecologic surgery.

Kibble & Prentice

Kibble & Prentice, a financial services firm with offices in Bellevue and Seattle, named Gregor Hodgson senior vice president. Hodgson, formerly a sales executive in the property casualty division of the firm, works with northwest businesses to design insurance and risk management programs.

Puget Sound Energy

Puget Sound Energy named Michelle Clements vice president of human resources and labor relations. She will oversee human resources initiatives for more than 2,100 employees. Clements was vice president of human resources at Eddie Bauer before joining PSE in September.

Rock City Grill

Rock City Grill, an Italian-American restaurant, will open at River Square Park in downtown Spokane. The restaurant will occupy a space formerly occupied by Chevy's Fresh Mex, which recently closed its only Spokane location. Rock City Grill is expected to open in November following six to eight weeks of construction and renovation.

Washington State University

William Marler was appointed to a second term with the Washington State University Board of Regents, on which he currently serves as president. Marler was first appointed to the board in 1998 and is a partner in the Seattle law firm of Marler Clark.
