John R. Brandt was promoted to paper-mill superintendent for Longview Fibre Co.'s Longview pulp-paper operations. Brandt, former central mill machine superintendent, replaces Roger J. Mendenhall. Mendenhall, who is retiring, has been with the company for over 30 years.
Animal Emergency and Referral Center in Lynnwood hired Michael B. Mison as a veterinary specialist. Mison comes to Pet's Choice from Washington State University, where he will maintain his position as an assistant professor in small animal surgery. AERC is a member of Pet's Choice, a Bellevue-based group of veterinary hospitals and specialty practices.
Michael Geri, first vice president - financial consultant in RBC Dain Rauscher's Seattle office, was named a member of the firm's Portfolio Focus - Portfolio Manager Group. As a member, Geri will receive additional marketing support and assistance with professional development. RBC, a subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada, is a securities firm headquartered in Minneapolis.

Intelligent Results, a Bellevue-based provider of business analytic solutions, named Kelly Pennock CEO. Pennock is a co-founder of the company and its former president and CTO. Previously, Pennock was a program manager with Amazon.com.
Beth McCaw and Scott O'Halloran were named partners at Williams Kastner & Gibbs, a Seattle-based law firm. McCaw, an associate in the Seattle office since 2000, focuses her practice on estate planning, gift and estate taxation, probate and the law of exempt organizations. O'Halloran, an associate in the Tacoma office since 2000, practices general civil and commercial litigation with an emphasis on medical malpractice and products liability defense.
Barrett Fisher was appointed president of Tourism Whistler, a member-based marketing and sales organization representing Whistler, British Columbia. Fisher, former interim president, has been with the organization for 14 years in a variety of positions, including vice president of marketing strategy and business development, vice president of marketing and sales, director of marketing and director of advertising and promotion.
