Seattle Goodwill

The Seattle Goodwill Industries named Scott Missall of Short Cressman & Burgess chair of its executive committee and Lisa Decker of Infinity Broadcasting vice chair. Seattle Goodwill is a private nonprofit that runs free programs to help poor and disadvantaged people learn job skills.

Del Rey

The Del Rey, "a neighborhood lounge with inventive food," will open next week at 2332 First Ave. Proprietor Richard Hemsley has teamed up with contractor Charlie Bucy to remodel the space in the style of pubs in England. Ami Grubbs will be the general manager. Hemsley is the proprietor of Capitol Hill's Barça lounge.

Group Health

Scott Armstrong, the new president and CEO of Group Health Cooperative, named his new executive team: James Hereford, executive vice president of strategic services and quality; Janet Liang, executive vice president of Columbia region; Peter Morgan, executive vice president of Puget Sound region; Michael Soman, executive medical director of Puget Sound region; and Marc West, executive vice president of Group Health Permanente. Seattle-based Group Health has medical and specialty centers, hospitals, a research center and a charitable foundation.

Sedgwick Rd.

Marketing agency Sedgwick Rd. promoted Shaun Stripling to director of planning. Stripling will focus on attitudes and trends in various segments of the population. Sedgwick Rd. says her perspective will help clients determine the subtle triggers and perceptions that cause consumers to bond with a brand. Stripling joined as a senior account planner, collaborating on projects for agency clients that have included Washington Mutual, Mervyn's, Nintendo and Marshall Field's. Sedgwick Rd. is located in Seattle's SoDo district.

Seattle's Union Gospel Mission

Peter Anderson has returned to Seattle's Union Gospel Mission as foundations officer. Anderson has 15 years of nonprofit experience and was senior development officer at Seattle's Union Gospel Mission. This time he will build partnerships with local and national foundations.

JBNI

JBNI moved from Bellevue to a new location at the Canyon Park Business Center in Bothell. JBNI signed a five-year lease agreement with CB Richard Ellis to occupy 6,500 square feet of the building. The company researches, develops and distributing natural medicines, and says it plans to add 20 employees by the end of the year.

Weyerhaeuser

Weyerhaeuser Co. named Richard C. Wininger vice president of its western timberlands division. He succeeds Thomas F. Gideon, who was recently named senior vice president of Weyerhaeuser Timberlands. Weyerhaeuser's western U.S. timberlands operations include 2.2 million acres of commercial forestland in the Pacific Northwest. Weyerhaeuser is a forest products company with operations in 19 countries.

Pagliacci

Pagliacci Pizza has moved its Bridle Trails location. The new site of the Bridle Trails Delivery Kitchen is on the corner of Northeast 70th Place and 130th Avenue Northeast in Kirkland. It has seating and an area for kids.

Seattle Aquarium

Seattle Parks and Recreation Superintendent Ken Bounds recently appointed John Braden director of the Seattle Aquarium. Braden was acting director and deputy director. Braden was principal planner for the aquarium and adjacent parks, and director of the city's Office of Economic Development.

White House|Black Market

White House|Black Market will open a location at Pacific Place in May. The retailer offers clothing and accessories. At 2,450 square feet, the downtown store will be Florida-based retailer's largest location. White House|Black Market operates more than 160 retail stores, most in the southern United States. The Pacific Place storefront is designed by Callison Architecture.
