Chantha Bunphoath has been named acting chief financial officer of Lynnwood-based CityBank. She has 12 years banking experience, the last eight in finance administration at CityBank. She will replace Judy Muench, who will retire June 30. The bank has eight offices serving Snohomish and North King counties, and two mortgage loan offices serving Snohomish, King and Pierce counties.
The National Association of Credit Management, Western Washington-Alaska, announced the election of Heidi Lindgren-Boyce as chairman of the board for 2005-2006. She is senior credit manager for Star Rentals. Laurie Farvour, regional credit manager at Gensco, was elected chairman elect. New staff officers are Donald Conklin, president; Karen Parks, vice president-secretary; and Claude Harmon, treasurer. The association is a member-owned credit service organization.
U.S. Bank has promoted Chris Heman to lead the company's retail branch network as senior vice president and region manager for U.S. Bank in Seattle. He was previously a district manager for a portion of U.S. Bank's Seattle branches.
Bellevue-based Wireless Services Corp. has hired Mark Thomas as chief financial officer. He was CFO and senior vice president of business development for Terabeam, and also worked for AT&T and AT&T Wireless.

World Wide Packets, a Spokane Valley-based provider of ethernet access networking solutions, named Michael Nielsen executive vice president of engineering and product management. Nielsen was chief technology officer for Lucent's Integrated Network Solutions wire line segment.
Frances K. McSweeney, Washington State University regents professor of psychology and vice provost for faculty affairs, has been named president of the Association for Behavioral Analysis, an international organization of behavioral scientists.
