Seattle-based insurance brokerage and risk management firm Parker, Smith & Feek added Marty Bask to lead its food industry group. Bask's experience is in workers' compensation and risk management. He'll advise clients in the food processing industry.
The company Sleep Shoppe Etc. has moved from Bothell to Lynnwood. The new address is 19902 40th Ave. W., Lynwood WA 98036. Sleep Shoppe supplies mattresses and bedroom furniture for people ages two to 18.
Anthony's Restaurants promoted Steve Funk to regional manager. He'll be in charge of overseeing restaurants in Seattle, Kirkland, Everett, Edmonds, Everett, Spokane, Bellingham and Bend, Ore. Funk was general manager at Chinook's at Salmon Bay in Seattle. His career with Anthony's started in 1977, making him the company's longest-employed member.
Vancouver-based Papa Murphy's Take ‘N' Bake Pizza promoted Dick Larsen to the new post of vice president of development, and Jenny Pettit to regional vice president of operations. They'll help the company expand with an estimated 115 new locations this year. Larsen has been with Papa Murphy's for seven years. Pettit started 20 years ago with Papa Aldo's Pizza, which Papa Murphy's bought in 1990.
Auburn's SuperMall recently named Amy Kostelecky marketing and guest services coordinator. She has four years of experience as a development assistant for Pacific Lutheran University's office of development and university relations.
Former Federal Way City Council member Mary E. Gates was named executive director of the Federal Way Symphony. Gates will oversee community relations and work on gathering financial support. Her experience is in transportation and community growth, and she was an instructor at the University of Puget Sound and Highline Community College.

Allstate Insurance Co.'s agent Stephanie Cunningham has opened an agency at 841 Central Ave. N., Suite 103, in Kent, selling auto, property, commercial and life insurance. Cunningham was a national speaker for a Seattle-based seminar company and an owner of a Carpet One store.
The law firm Dorsey & Whitney named Bryce Holland managing partner in the firm's Seattle office. Holland is in Dorsey's corporate group, and has 25 years of experience practicing corporate and securities law in the greater Seattle area. He succeeds Joe Gaffney, who held the position for two years. Dorsey & Whitney has 19 offices in the United States, Asia, Europe and Canada.
Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle's board of directors named James E. Gilleran president and chief executive officer of the Seattle Bank. Gilleran was chief executive officer of the Bank of San Francisco and replaces James R. Faulstich, who was interim president and CEO.
Redmond-based Action Engine named Jim Souders vice president of its operations in North America and the Asia Pacific. Action Engine is a mobile application platform company. Souders has 20 years of wireless telecommunications experience, including work as vice president of worldwide sales for Wavelink Corp. Action Engine also named Mike Kent vice president of a program to expand in Europe.
Len Jessup was recently appointed president of the Washington State University Foundation and named acting vice president for university development. He succeeds Richard Frisch, who took a post at Boise State University. Jessup was dean of WSU's College of Business and Economics for three years. Eric Spangenberg was promoted to senior associate dean of the College of Business and Economics. Erich J. Lear recently agreed to another two-year appointment as dean of the College of Liberal Arts. He's been interim dean since last year, when Barbara Couture left to work at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
