Peterson Sullivan, a Seattle accounting, auditing and tax services firm, hired Asa Allen, Keith Derdowski, Danielle Lewis and Guy Pfingsten as staff accountants. Allen, Lewis and Pfingsten will be accountants in the General Practice Group while Derdowski will be in the General Business Group.
The LeMay car museum in Tacoma said AAA Washington pledged $1.6 million for the museum's proposed building near the Tacoma Dome. The space should be open by 2011. This is the largest corporate commitment the museum has received to date.
Seattle-based Entrance Controls, a provider of commercial security and monitoring systems, hired Robert Williamson as operations manager. Williamson worked at Siemens Building Technologies and AMAG Technology.
City University of Seattle hired Judy Hinrichs as dean of the Albright School of Education and Dr. Kurt Kirstein as dean of the School of Management. Both Hinrichs and Kirstein have been serving as interim deans of their respective schools. Hinrichs has worked with the Albright School since 1996 and was recently associate dean. Kirstein began working with CityU in 2005.

Puget Sound Bank promoted Steve Vincent and Katherine Thompson to senior vice president, relationship manager. Both were vice president, relationship manager. David Stegmeier was promoted from assistant vice president, assistant relationship manager, to vice president, relationship manager and Jana Westphal from assistant vice president, operations, to vice president, assistant operations manager.
Bellevue-based Paccar elected Dan Sobic to executive president, effective Oct. 1. Sobic joined the company in 1983 and has had senior management roles with Kenworth and Paccar Parts.
Stephanie Ellis-Smith, founder and executive director of the Central District Forum for Arts and Ideas, said she will resign effective June 1, 2009, after more than 10 years of employment.
Lakedale Resort at Three Lakes on San Juan Island hired Scott Hale as general manager. Hale was general manager for Kissimmee/Orlando and Fiesta Key Kampgrounds of America.
The U.S. Small Business Administration hired Jennifer A. Kilgus as administrator of Region X, which includes Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Kilgus was vice president of GMMB where she provided communications support to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's Pacific Northwest initiative focusing on efforts to end family homelessness.
