Lane Powell hired David Voyles as an associate in the Complex Litigation Practice Group. Voyles was previously a summer associate with Lane Powell and a judicial intern with the Orange County Superior Court. Prior to law school, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was an assistant construction manager for Standard Pacific Homes.
Wells Fargo Private Bank hired Sterling Sankey to the Seattle team as senior private banking regional manager. Sankey will oversee 28 private banking professionals at Wells Fargo in Seattle. He has 22 years experience in financial services and recently worked at Bank of America.
The Washington State Bar Association's Indian Law Section named Foster Pepper attorneys Ron Whitener and Joanna Plichta Boisen as chair-elect and trustee, respectively. The WSBA licenses the state's 30,600 lawyers. The Indian Law Section provides a forum for practitioners representing clients affected by Indian law.
Clark Nuber, a CPA firm in Bellevue, made a series of new hires. It hired Emily Boulanger, Zachary Kieffer, Jessica Myers, Bryce Rassilyer and Linsey Watanabe as audit associates; Lilian Chiu, Ryan Hoeflin, Blythe Murray and Dan Nicholson as tax associates; Winn Richardson as audit manager; and Page Cook as marketing manager.

Banner Bank hired Darlene Hunker as assistant vice president/commercial loan officer. Hunker will be responsible for loans in the Kent and Federal Way areas. She has 15 years experience and has worked at U.S. Bank, Washington Mutual and Foundation Bank.
Liberty Northwest Insurance, a Portland-based private workers compensation insurer, hired Julie A. Burnett as president and chief executive officer. She succeeds Larry Becker who has decided to retire. Burnett worked at Safeco for 20 years.
Jerry Traunfeld has named Angela Kay Isaacson general manager of his new restaurant Poppy on Capitol Hill. Isaacson recently graduated number one in her class at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Academy in Portland. She completed a culinary externship at The Herbfarm.

Hitachi Consulting in Seattle made a series of new hires. They are Cary Eckert and Cheryl Singh as senior consultants in Financial Solutions; Shay Jones as a senior consultant in Microsoft Solutions; Robert Brawn as an architect and J.R. McDonnel as a senior consultant in Business Intelligence; Geneva Radke as a manager in Consulting & Systems Integration; and Mike Jaffre as a senior consultant in Customer & Channel Solutions. Hitachi is a global consulting company with operations in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Law firm Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson hired Joseph Romberg as an associate. Romberg was an associate at Perkins Coie in Portland. He will focus on real estate transactions.
A new restaurant named ‘Zaw has opened its flagship store at 1424 E. Pine St. in Capitol Hill. It soon plans to open a second location in the South Lake Union neighborhood at 434 Yale Ave. N. and a third in Ballard at 5458 Leary Ave. N.W. ‘Zaw is co-founded by Greg Waring and Greg Scott. The restaurant will serve artisan pizzas, called ‘zaw's, that customers cook at home. The restaurant says it will use “soul” foods, that is: seasonal, organic, unique or local.
