The Western Washington Chapter of the PGA recognized Gregg Rogers as the PGA Western Washington Chapter Teacher of The Year. Rogers was selected by his peers. He is the director of instruction and owner/operator of the Gregg Rogers' Golf Performance Centers in Bellevue, and has 25 years experience in the golf industry.
Spokane-based Potlatch Corp. hired Thomas Temple as vice president of wood products. Temple will replace Richard Kelly, who will retire at the end of the year. Temple worked at Canadian Forest Products.

Jennifer K. Wyatt, an attorney in the Seattle office of regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, was recently appointed to the Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association of Seattle board of directors. MAMAS was founded in 2006 to empower mother attorneys and encourage them to succeed while celebrating their dual roles.
Seattle-based US Dispatch Corp. promoted Alexx Roberts to vice president of operations. Roberts joined the company in 1986 as a courier and has worked in many roles including Bellevue ops manager and dispatch and road manager. US Dispatch Corp. provides call center and dispatch services.
Seattle-based GMI, a provider of global market intelligence solutions, hired Luis J. Salazar as chief marketing officer. Salazar spent 11 years at Microsoft Corp., has 20 years experience and recently co-founded Microsoft Office Live.

Virginia Mason Medical Center hired four new physicians in a variety of specialties. It hired S. Ian Gan and Shayan Irani in gastroenterology, Anika Sanda in pediatrics and Hejin Hahn in pathology.
Goodwill's new store in Seattle's U-District, called Goodwill on the Ave, will hold a grand opening celebration on Wednesday. The store is at 4552 University Way N.E. Doors open at 4 p.m. There will be a DJ and snacks. The first 250 people at the store will get a free gift.
Seattle-based Cdigix, a provider of rich digital media services for colleges and universities, promoted Mark Brodsky to president and chief operating officer. Brodsky has been with Cdigix since 2006 as vice president of sales and marketing. He has 20 years experience working with leading edge technology and education products.
