Lane Powell hired David Petteys as an associate and member of the Tax Practice Group. Petteys has 13 years of experience with state and local taxes and recently worked at Amazon.com as tax counsel.
Richard Burnite has been named business development manager for Seattle-based Securetrans, a company that provides contract security service for businesses in the Pacific Northwest. He was previously executive director and division manager for NW Protective Service.
Kirkland-based Clearwire Corp. hired David Sach as chief financial officer. Sach has 30 years of finance and accounting experience in the telecommunications, music and publishing industries. He was recently chief financial officer of Millicom International Cellular.
Dr. Steve Reed, founder and head of research and development at the Infectious Disease Research Institute, a Seattle nonprofit, has been named global health research ambassador in Research!America's Paul G. Rogers Society for Global Health Research. The society works to increase awareness of and make the case for greater U.S. investment in research to fight diseases that disproportionately affect the world's poorest nations.

Law Firm Ryan Swanson Cleveland named Robert King to partner and hired Wendy Moullet and Teruyuki Olsen as attorneys. King practices in the litigation group and joined Ryan Swanson in 2001. Moullet is an associate in the real estate and business practice groups and was recently at the Nathanson Group. Olsen was a summer associate at Ryan Swanson in 2007 and was a civil litigation extern at the King County Prosecutor's Office.
LeMaster Daniels, a Spokane-based CPA firm, promoted three staff members in its Bellevue office. Paul Bailey, an auditor, has been promoted from manager to a senior manager. Kyle Johnson, who works in the tax department, has been promoted from staff accountant to senior accountant. Nikki Myers, who manages office operations, has been promoted from billing administrator to office manager.
Eastside Catholic School in Sammamish hired Kris Galvin as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Galvin was recently the CFO and vice president general manager for Celebrate Express, an online retailer.

Foster Pepper hired Vincent Ricci and William Orndorff as corporate attorneys in its business practice. Both worked at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. Ricci is a member in the Business Practice Group. Orndorff is an associate in the Business Practice Group.
Law firm Keller Rohrback elected Raymond Farrow to a partnership position. Farrow is a member of the Complex Litigation Group. His emphasis is on antitrust and consumer protection.
Russell Investments' board of directors named Andrew Doman as the new chief executive officer, effective Feb. 2. Doman succeeds John Schlifske, who will return to Russell's parent company, Northwestern Mutual. Doman was a founding director of McKinsey & Co.
Clark Nuber, a CPA firm in Bellevue, recently made a series of new hires. Marin Anderson and Emily Ott are tax associates. Joe Brotherton, Nate Knutson and Sarah Wine are audit associates. Courtney Hirata and Jessica Little are audit interns. Angela Wahlroth is a tax intern.
